CM Punk SHOOTS On WWE! Braun Strowman PULLED From WWE TLC 2018?! | WrestleTalk News 2018

Hello and welcome to the WrestleTalk News
– I’m Oli Davis. Press the thumbs up and leave a comment down
below because I’ll be replying to people FROM OUTTA NOWHERE. Where I’ll mostly be
telling you to buy a t-shirt like this: Click the link in the video description below,
and buy a t-shir- -there’s been a disturbance in the Earth’s
tectonic plates. Because The Rock just had a cheat day… it’s
a geology joke.
The rare tectonic event, which some say can be predicted by the Mayan calendar, advanced
carbon dating techniques on Johnson, or just by looking at his food diary, occured last
week, where The Dwayne posted: “The cheat meal Sunday Sushi Train 🍣 🚂 rolled
on this past weekend with some power and a ton of that wooosabi 🔥 Great new doc on
Netflix about one of my fav country artists, the icon himself, Johnny Cash.”
If I’d planned these stories a little better, I’d now be Segwaying from The Rock talking
about The Man Who Comes Around Johnny Cash to The Man on SmackDown Becky Lynch, who returned
to WWE TV last night!. But I didn’t… So here’s an update on Braun Strowman’s
elbow surgery. Although Strowman appeared on the TitanTron
on Monday’s Raw, in a promo supposedly recorded earlier that day from the hospital – PWInsider
is reporting the clip was actually produced the previous week, as Braun was undergoing
real-life elbow surgery yesterday. WWE have since confirmed the procedure was
successful, and Strowman himself posted on Twitter:
“The countdown to my return and your end starts now. #TickTock”
He’s a grumpy Monster Among Men. But according to WrestleVotes, while the operation
went well, the latest news backstage says Braun’s return countdown will miss next
month’s TLC pay-per-view in just three weeks time, where he’s advertised for a match
against Baron Corbin with his Royal Rumble shot at Brock Lesnar’s Universal Title on
the line. “Hearing Braun Strowman may indeed be out
past the TLC PPV, and they are preparing to make the TLC match involving Baron Corbin
a multi man contest similar to the 2012 TLC PPV.”
A show that saw The Shield take on Ryback and Team Hell No in a brilliantly chaotic
six-man TLC match. This is just the latest back-up plan for Corbin
vs Strowman, with PWInsider reporting before Braun’s surgery that another idea is to
have Bray Wyatt return and face Baron in Strowman’s place.
Whatever happens, it’s not a particularly inspiring time for Raw, which has put in two
critically panned episodes since Survivor Series. So please save us AEW!
Cody Rhodes and the Young Bucks are reportedly planning to launch a new wrestling promotion
called All Elite Wrestling late next year, and MMAFighting asked CM Punk about his thoughts
on the project. Punk said it all depends on what’s best
for their family, and then took a few shots at his former contractor, WWE:
“I think we live in a time now where WWE is not the end-all, be-all. I don’t think
it has been for quite some time… Enough people have been there and left that can,
I guess, extoll the knowledge of, ‘Hey, you know what, the place ain’t all that.’”
Punk admitted WWE might have changed in the five years since he left, but then said at
least a few people are still unhappy there, revealing: “I’ve got people who text me
and say otherwise” Punk carried on saying if the Young Bucks
and Cody did go to WWE, “they’d just be another guy – just like everybody else on
that show. It’s amazing, the more time the show gets, the less time it really seems they
develop new characters.” When asked if he would be interested in working
with the rumoured AEW promotion, Punk teased he “would always listen”, but then refuted
Cody’s claim that the group had approached him about working September’s All In show:
“An offer was not made. Calling me up or texting me saying, ‘Hey, if you want to
come to the show and do something, we would love that’ is not an offer. That’s not
an offer.” CM Punk return confirmed.
