Hello! Today we’ll present you the perfect way to mold a mouthguard so it will not fall even if you open your mouth. One of the mouthpieces is made of silicon with a layer of gel, the other one is made just from silicone, like the one that Paul is presenting you now. Both of them are produced by Knockout Store. The molding process is identical for both pieces. We take out from the package the one with gel. we prepare a pot of boiled water, After the water has boiled, we turn off the heat and bring nearby another cold water vessel. We introduce the mouthpiece in boiling water and we leave it in until it starts to deform. After it starts to deform, we remove it from boiling water, we dip it briefly in cold water so that we don’t scald our gums. We suck out all the air from the mouth, lips closed, while pressing the tongue against the palate and the front upper teeth. We bite the mouthpiece lightly, just to leave the teeth mark in the gel. Then we mold the mouthpiece pressing with the fingers against the maxillary. so it will take its form and it will maintain its position when cold and don’t fall out even when we are opening the mouth. Continue the molding process until you feel that the mouthpiece hardens and it keeps its new form. During the molding process keep sucking out all the air from the mouth, lips closed, while pressing the tongue against the palate and the front upper teeth. After it has hardened, we open our mouths to check if it holds its position on the maxillary, or it falls out. Take it out from the mouth and put it in cold water until it is definitely hard.
