Kickboxing at the Lion’s Den with Rich Cramer in East Brady

This is my friend Rich. He’s a former WKA
state kickboxing champion. My dad told me that Rich trains people how to kickbox at
this place called “The Lion’s Den”. It’s a Christian organization, and he thought it
would be a good idea for me to try it out. The day we went, I was kind of intimidated
by the serious strength these guys had. But Rich is really good at teaching what he
loves and he made it really fun. Even though I was just a beginner, Rich took time to show me the basics like
timing and balance and how to step and how to move. It didn’t take long and we were ready to get suited up with gloves
for some real punching exercises. Ready or not, it was time. At first, I was a little hesitant because
I wasn’t used to having permission to punch anything but the more I kept at it, the more
I liked it. I learned how to focus my punches with more
power and more speed. In fact, I think I could have used those punching bags for hours. And then I even learned how to kick like a
pro. Well, almost. By the end of the day, I was starting to get
the hang of it. I actually felt like I could get pretty good at this kickboxing thing.
Rich made me realize I was stronger than I thought. And I didn’t want to leave. I think everybody should try kickboxing at
the Lion’s Den. You just have to meet Rich.
