MMA Grappling & Takedowns : Upper Body Throw Wrestling Technique

MMA Grappling & Takedowns : Upper Body Throw Wrestling Technique

In this clip I’m going to show you another
throw. We’re going to be in over and under again. This time I’m actually; this time I’m
actually going to come in and I’m going to pinch my hand. Now that I’ve pinched I want
to dip my shoulder when I pinch; so, down and now it kind of like traps his shoulder.
I’m going to come to the side, sit back and if I was really going to throw in I would
sit right back. Kind of like if I’m going to sit in my chair, right here, and then throw.
I m Keeping the tight waist until I land on the ground. Getting the lock is the important
part. Over and under, dipping and grabbing, now I’ve locked this whole shoulder off, stepping
to the side, pinching, and then I’m popping. I’m keeping that tight around his waist. This
can be used in any kind of like: Jujitsu, wrestling, grappling, MMA. This is important:
pinching that arm, grabbing it. There are a lot of submissions that come from it on
the ground.

  1. Just for training reasons. Being a VERY basic move. For the level of people using it make sure to emphasize about a few basic things.
This isn't a muscle move. they will fall easily if done right. Use the inner parts of your legs to basically pry on his legs so he can't catch himself and all you are doing is letting his weight fall. AND make SURE TO GRAB THEIR LEG WITH YOURS IF NOTHING ELSE. But, I do like the vids. I use them to help my gf learn since it's hard to do to someone 130lbs lighter

  2. is it possible to take that hold, but instead of sitting down, you actually lift, arch your back, throw him across the air?

  3. haha wow… why would you say something like UFC is better if obviously you dont know anything about MMA, bobak is an idiot, good job responding to him and getting him the hell out of here.

  4. ¤ø„¸¸„ø¤º°¨¸„ø¤º°¨ post to 3 other vids

    ¸„ø¤º°¨Paste “°º¤ø„¸ OK
    ¸„ø¤º°¨¸„ø¤º°¨¨°º look at ur backgroud

  5. It does nothing. If you unclasp your hands as you go, good luck getting and keeping him down.
Trust me you barely feel it when you take them down. This is one of my favourite takedowns.

  6. You guys are a lot of help. I'm going into High School this year and I'm doing freshman wrestling, and I came into the practices late, and have no idea what I'm doing. I just use whatever I can to take the person down, but after I watched your videos, I've had a better view on the different moves. Thanks.

  7. you guys are alot of help. i just started training for mma at a gym and i sometimes get thrown into a little ground n pound with local pros there. before i was just defending and trying to not die. now i have a couple offensive moves. thank you

  8. a little tip tuck your head in and push. also this can be done from a double underhook. it avoids having getting layed on or punch by the hand not being underhooked. the other underhook just needs to tuck the elboe not the whole hand

  9. thats great bro. MMA is a great sport. i would recommend a trainer if you havent got one already and i would recommend some fitness training if you haven't already started 😉

  10. @colin70000 Here's the resume of the guy you're talking shit to: Most wins and Most pins 2001, 2 Years Captain & MVP for STCC wrestling, NJAA National qualifier, Member of all Academic Wrestling Team, coach at STCC, 3 years New England All Stars member. Involved in Mixed Martial Arts since 2003. Instructs at the oldest MMA school in New England.
