Sweeps From Guard: MMA Techniques & Training : Chest to Chest Sweep in MMA

Alright this sweep I’m going to be showing
you is a Chest to Chest sweep. A lot of times I like to go like I’m going for Kimora and
this is real common, alright. So I’m using my guard, a lot of times I fake a Kimora;
like grab the wrist, alright. I’m coming up over and I like to put my hand, grab this;
pinch down right here. I come up, post. And I’m actually going to bump him, bump him with
my hips; alright. As I bump him I’m going to hit his legs right low, alright. So I’m
right here, boom; I’m bumping, bumping; boom, alright. That’s the Chest to Chest sweep.
I’m going to do it one more time for you. I’m in the guard; I’m grabbing the wrists
like I’m going for a Kimora. I come up over pinching, posting and hitting with my chest;
alright. This is real common in grappling and MMA. I love using it. I see it in a lot
of tournaments.

  1. I really like this one, because when someone is on top punching, you're able to clear his arm. Even if you fail to hit the sweep at least you won't eat a couple shots.
