The Sunk Engine That Never Gave Up (Full Story Mercury Verado 300… {7 hrs ‘CC’}

– [Alfred] There is no excuse now. There is no excuse now,
she’s in the water. – How you doing? – [Alfred] Miss Black
Betty is in the water. – You wanna go for a ride
in this wind and sea state? – [Alfred] That’s exactly why I want to. Air suspension, guys, look at this. Look at this, guys. 100% suspended, the whole
console, how crazy is that? Fluid with a shock wave console,
look, let’s jump on here. We saw. Oh my goodness, guys, look at this. Now, Boyd. She’s in the water,
come, come, come, come. I want you to showcase her because she needs to be properly shown. All right guys, we got here,
Boyd from Sirocco Marine. So, tell ’em, look, tell the
people about this RIB boat. – Only six feet of pure power with a floating five-person console on a Fox shocks torsion bars,
over 12 inches of travel. Allows you to go 40, 50 mile an hour without taking your hand off the throttle. It’s one of the best riding boats, probably one of the best
performing consoles. – [Alfred] Well, you’re gonna
have to ride me on this boat at some point ’cause that’s
it, at this point, this is, guys, this is insane. So, Boyd, first of all, where can someone look,
we’re gonna walk to the boat, where can somebody that’s
really, really interested come and see this boat for
themselves and do a sea trial, where can they come? – You know that we have
that 63,000 square foot facility in Florida, right by the airport. – [Alfred] Huge, huge. – So, we have a couple
hundred boats in stock. With a day’s notice, we can
get a boat in the water, go and do a sea trial,
jump some waves in the, in the Fort Lauderdale Cut. – [Alfred] Guys, look
at this, look at this. All right. – We took this one step further. We put seven Simrad displays on this. We’re running the Naviop switching system so, we’ve eliminated all
the switches off the boat and so, it’s all controlled
through any of these displays. – [Alfred] That is crazy, look
at this, guys, look at this. That is insane. All down here. Look at all the whole,
this thing is crazy, guys. The worst of the weather, the
better for Black Betty, right? – Absolutely. – [Alfred] That’s when
you get to appreciate all this air suspension, guys. You see how it’s completely
all Fox shock system? Obviously, Hypalon tubes. Nothing less than Hypalon. – [Boyd] This one, we
did the carbon fabric. All the tubes have pressure-relief valves, seven compartment tubes. We ran this boat actually
about a month ago from Miami Cut to Fort Lauderdale Cut with my kids on the boat, blowing 25, five to seven foot seas
and it was under 30 minutes to go from Miami to
Fort Lauderdale outside. Might’ve been a little wet, but it was a comfortable,
comfortable, fast ride. – [Alfred] Do you need any
new kids or lemme know? – I still got ’em. – [Alfred] No, but do you need
me to be one of your kids? – Be a kid, yeah, why not. – [Alfred] Listen, guys,
I gotta do anything here to get on this boat, I
gotta get on this thing, look at this. I’m telling you guys. All right so, what else you
guys got over here showing off? I see you got a couple of
Fluids over here as well, some Briggs. – So, we got the
Navigator 730, which is a, a 24-foot, seven console,
with a 225 Honda. It’s just a great utility
sports family boat and the sicker one we’ve
got is the Eagle 780 which is one of the
premium, with the shower, the windless room under
the console put ahead. Both are great boats. So, about $70,000 price point
and $118,000 price point. – [Alfred] So, Boyd, that
aux diesel, good lord, how that thing got views,
is that still at the shore or is that already gone? – No, absolutely, we brought
it back for the show. – [Alfred] It’s here as well again? – It’s in the water. – [Alfred] Okay, I gotta
pass by and see that ’cause those people were flipping out when they saw how many views I got. – We got so many calls from that. There was so much interest
and it was perfectly matched on that size boat. – [Alfred] That’s awesome
and you know what? I’m sure you guys are gonna go ahead and do more things with that company and put it on different
RIBs and stuff like that. – Absolutely, we’re kinda talking
about putting maybe a pair on a big Fluid 35 and see how it goes. – [Alfred] A pair, ooh. That’s gonna be another
amazing video guys. Hey guys, so listen, we have
here, Boyd from Sirocco Marine, huge facility down in Fort Lauderdale. Bring a big, giant cup, there’s a brewery right next to your shop, a big brewery. Bring a big cup ’cause
you’re gonna wanna go ahead and buy a boat and then go
ahead and have some drinks. Boyd, where can they find you online so they can go ahead and find more information on your company. – Siroccomarine.com. It has all the boats, all the rangers and then we have brigusa.com
and fluidboats.com. – [Alfred] Guys, I’m gonna
make him shake on it. Black Betty, I’m gonna do a see trial, is it gonna happen, yes or no? – It’s gonna happen.
– Boom. Boom guys, I got it. Thanks a lot, Boyd. – Okay, thank you. (motors roar) Go now, good? – Go. (motors roar) (eerie music) (motors roar) Go ahead man, scare me. Guys, we’re all strapped in. We got our seat belts on. Good Lord. All the way. Oh my God! Good lord. Guys, I’m already scared
’cause I’m holding the camera, that’s why. That’s crazy. Wow, wow, this is incredible! Hands down, the best riding boat I’ve been on in my life. Hands down, incredible, wow. What? This is crazy. Black Betty has gotten airborne
several times already, guys. First of all, let me say that, we have a qualified captain on board. Boyd, dude, incredible. – We just took off and the seas are no more
than one to two feet. Got a little airborne
and we’re getting already nine inches travel out of the 12 inches. That’s set at about 120 PSI for a weight calculation
of the three of us. – [Alfred] So, we have how many
inches of travel, like what? – We have a total of 12,
we’ve done nine so far on a two-foot sea, so any bigger seas, we’d probably wanna put a bit
more air pressure in this, but you can see how much travel
at such a small sea state. – [Alfred] Let me tell you, look, first of all, I’m
impressed with the console, but I’m really, really
impressed with the boat. The boat is eating that
up like nothing, dude. So, I give it to the console, but the boat is eating it up as well. Really, really impressed. – Let’s buckle back in,
put our seat belts on and let’s keep going, we
got another 50 miles to go. – [Alfred] Let’s go. Whoa, whoa! (eerie music) Holy shit. – The motor broke off. – [Alfred] Holy shit. Holy. – Oh my God. – [Alfred] Turn off everything. Turn off everything.
– Turn everything off, everything off. – [Alfred] Turn off the other one, Boyd. What did it come off of? It just came off. – [Boyd] The bolts on that
sheared, all the bolts came out. – [Alfred] Holy, crazy. But the boat is perfect. What? – [Willam] What are we gonna do? – [Boyd] We’re gonna dump that motor. – [Willam] Like just drop it in the water? – [Boyd] Yup, somehow. – [Willam] How about this? (water sloshing) – [Alfred] You know what,
I think we should just go to the shore, beach
it and try to go ahead and do that there while we’re up shore. We’re not far from shore. Well, look. I can say… Wow, this is incredible. That is incredible, guys. What really amazes me is that the boat stayed
super, super stable. Any other boat right
now would have capsized, flipped over, people on the news. But this boat, you can push it, you won’t really realize
how hard you’re pushing it. But if it were any boat, look
at this, guys, look at this. Look at all these rollers. We’re jumping on it like it’s nothing. But if it were any other boat,
trust me when I tell you, you would have been flipped over, craziness, the stability of
the tubes, it just caught. Pah, pah! It’s gone? Let’s get that, let’s cut
it, let’s cut that line. – [Boyd] Do you have any– – [Willam] Do you have a
pocketknife or anything? – [Boyd] But I have a knife here. – [Alfred] Just use the
screwdriver and punch it. – [Willam] Wait, is
there any wires in there? – [Boyd] Lots of wires. – [Willam] So, how’re
you supposed to cut it? – [Boyd] I’m gonna work on that, buddy. – [Alfred] Just sit and learn, okay? Just sit and learn. Do you want me to cut all the power? – [Boyd] It’s cut, yeah. Here and here. – [Alfred] We lost it,
guys, we lost the engine. Boyd, mark the spot,
mark the spot, mark it. – Yeah, I’ll mark the spot on the GPS. – [Alfred] Mark the spot,
mark the spot, mark the spot. – We’ll come and get this. – [Alfred] Yeah, mark
the spot, mark the spot. Mark the spot. We can pickle that. Mark the spot. Look at this guys, look at this. If this is not the case
for owning a RIB boat, I don’t know what is, guys. Look at this, guys. Look at this incredible weather. (motor cranking) – [Boyd] It probably broke the shaft. – [Alfred] It broke the shaft? – [Boyd] Yeah, that’s right. (motor roars) – [Alfred] There you go. – [Willam] Do we close everything off? – [Alfred] Yeah, watch out, go sit in the seat real quick, Willam. Go sit in the seat. All right well, we’re good. – This is 300 baby. – Listen! If this is not the best marketing you’ve ever seen in your
life, I don’t know what is. But I’ll tell you this, the
guy who’s gonna buy this is not a regular guy, first of all. And the guy who’s gonna buy
this is gonna like to know that he can make it home and
we’re gonna make it home. Guys, we lost an engine,
craziness, to say the least. What an incredible, incredible scenario. Guys, nothing’s wrong with the boat! The engine came undone,
the screws completely ripped off. It hit the back here, broke the rail. Incredible. Shockwave system, guys, if it
wasn’t for this, Shockwave, honestly, the whole scenario
would be completely different. All right, guys. So now, I’ve got the camera back on, let me explain exactly. Nuts, all the bolts came undone. The one here, the other
two were sliding too. So, we gotta go ahead and look at this now but we’re on the way back. Absolute craziness, guys. When it’s all said and done, I think… Well first of all, I’m so
grateful that I’m on a RIB boat. ‘Cause look, obviously the
tubes sucked up everything, look at the travel, guys,
look at the travel here. Look at the travel here. Look at the travel there. It’s literally almost traveled
about eight, nine inches. So, we got Boyd driving us back, calling some of his guys
to come and pick us up. We’re gonna go to the
ramp and stuff like that. I’m really, really curious to see, the boat’s fine. Even if the boat were taking
on water, which it’s not, the boat’s fine. Nothing will happen because the fact that we have these inflatable tubes. But I’ll tell you right now,
I have never, ever, ever in my life seen a boat push so
hard and eat it like nothing. It ate it like nothing, guys. When I’m telling you,
it ate it like nothing. So impressed with this Fluid
10-meter, I’ll tell you guys. I am so impressed with
this console and the boat. The console’s one thing, guys,
but the boat, oh my goodness. This thing has done it,
we’re all strapped in, it was all good. Look at the travel that it hit up front. The front didn’t get that
much shock, but look at it. Look at that right there, guys. That’s how much travel we took up front. Obviously, this is a boat that’s designed to be pushed to the limits. And one of the things that Boyd and I were just talking about, you don’t feel anything on this boat. We’re in nasty seas
right now, jumping waves and doing what the boat’s designed to do. But Boyd, tell them,
there’s a good possibility, a lot of people don’t
realize that this console, it absorbed so much that
you don’t even realize that you’re putting certain
stresses on the boat that… – These consoles, because
of the torsion loads, stress these boats out. That’s why this was
engineered from the ground up to take these loads, that’s
why the transom was reinforced, and we found the new
fail point, engine bolts. – [Alfred] And look, it’s
something as simple as that that it completely just
stripped it, completely. – Gone. – [Alfred] ‘Cause guys, right
now, everything’s preliminary, but there’s nothing wrong
with the boat at all. The bracket back there broke off when the impact hit the back. I’ll tell you, I’m still in shock of how capable the boat was. I didn’t feel worried at all, at no point. Guys, my face says otherwise
because in my mind, I’m thinking, how is this even possible? – I gotta take my hat off
to my production staff, the guys that built this boat, because once that one motor was gone, all we did was start that engine up and we’re all good to go again. We lost a motor, we’ll
retrieve that motor, we’ll put another motor
on here, get this going, we’ll replace those engine bolts, but the boat’s basically intact. A couple little cosmetic
touches on the transom and a new rope guard and
probably by the end of the week, we’re back on the water. – [Alfred] Now, let them know also, because of the way you
guys did all the rigging, that fuel line was
completely quick take-off and there’s no fuel that spilled
into the ocean or anything. – Not at all. We use a new Parker ECO
system that quick-connects, so we release that fuel,
isolated the power, before we had to drop that motor and it was the safest and probably, the most environment-friendly
way we could’ve done it in the circumstances. – [Alfred] For us to be
safe, yeah absolutely. In this case, number one rule
is, we have to be safe now. We’re gonna do everything in our power to see if we can go ahead
and retrieve that engine and get it out of there,
we already marked the spot, so, we’ll try to come back and get that. But guys, 10-meter Fluid
with a Shockwave console, let’s pull back, let’s look
and see what we got Boyd in. I’ll tell you, I’m really impressed with
this whole layout, man. And like you said, the
people who built this, the fact that the boat was
just eating everything up like nothing, hats off to them. – The motors hit each other,
and when it was swinging, it was hitting the lower
unit and hitting the prop, so let’s see how much damage there is. Go ahead and trim it up. (motor cranks) Bring it up. Man, couple scratches on the skeg. I think this motor, a little
touch-up with black paint and do a once-over with a computer, polish that little scratch on
the cowling and this one’s– – [Alfred] 12 hours. – Good to sail. – [Alfred] 12 hours, that’s nothing. Now, we definitely gotta go ahead and see what’s going on
with those bolts ’cause… No but listen, that’ll
buff out like nothing. – Buff it out. – [Alfred] That, you don’t
even have to do anything, buff out. – A little gel repair on the transom and I think we’ll hang another
motor tomorrow, I think. – [Alfred] Boyd, this
boat and this console listen, you gotta be careful with these, not because of the boat and the console, the console is so good that
it doesn’t let you realize how crazy and how much stress
you’re putting on the boat because you don’t feel it. – You don’t feel it at all. – [Alfred] You don’t feel it. Yo do not feel it and then
the boat was taking it, but look, guys, the bolts, the actual bolts that hold onto
the engine was what failed. The transom didn’t fail. I’ll tell you. – Too much airtime today, I think. (laughs) – [Alfred] Let me tell you. – Next time we’ll file a flight plan. – [Alfred] Yeah, I think so guys. Let’s see what we see in
the bottom, but Black Betty, Black Betty, let me tell you something, whoever ends up having this boat, dude, I’ll tell you right
now, with all sincerity as a guy who’s on RIBs all the time, by far, the most capable, unbelievable RIB boat ride
I’ve ever experienced. It was crazy. (upbeat music) All right guys, we’re
gonna see this right now. Right now, I want you
guys to see unedited, that’s why I’m doing it this way, I want you to see it unedited, so you guys can see that
the boat is a beast! And we found a fail point. The fail point is the bolts, that’s it. (upbeat Caribbean music) – Look, right there. – A bit close. Stop! – [Alfred] I don’t think he heard you. There you go. – Hold on. – [Alfred] Be careful, Willam. – Motor came up here. – There. – There’s one little chunk there, buddy? And we broke the underwater lights. – [Willam] Where, oh yeah I see them. – [Alfred] Dude, that is it? – [Boyd] That’s it. – [Alfred] That is it? Look at that, guys. That is it, that is nothing. So the end– What was that? That way out, baby. So guys, essentially a little
small section here, that’s it. See that? Now, look back under here, see that? – [Willam] Lights came off too, a bit. – [Boyd] That’s nothing, that’s a little piece of aluminum trim. – [Alfred] Yeah, that’s nothing. – [Boyd] That’s nothing. – [Alfred] Yeah. And nothing here happened
to this engine at all. This one is fine. Except for this, and this,
you’ll buff it out right now. 12 hours guys, not
even, not even 10 hours. Black Betty. (upbeat Caribbean music) Let’s do some more assessment on the… From here, see that guys? Nothing. – [Bill] There’s a couple more in the- – [Alfred] Hey, thanks Bill. (upbeat Caribbean music) Hey Boyd, what’s up with this keel guard? What’s up with this? – Two-inch by one-inch, I
think they call it a Cutwater. And it goes from the bow to the stern, it’s just part of the heavy-duty rugged woodwork that we have here. And then inside that is solid fiberglass and it’s a vacuum-infused hull. We’ve taken a core section out before, there’s a lot of material, you know? It just protects it when
you’re running in any debris. These are commercial boats. – [Alfred] Well listen, you
don’t have to sell me anything. I’m sure maybe this boat, I think you said it was sold
or someone is very interested, or I don’t know the whole story, but if somebody else wanted
a Fluid 10-meter like this, where can they go find some information? – Fluidboats.com and Sirocco
Marine, we have ’em in stock, Fort Lauderdale, and Annapolis. – [Alfred] And in Annapolis
you also some in stock? – Yup. We typically have 20 or 25
big Fluid boats in stock. – [Alfred] That is awesome. Guys, if you wanna get this boat, check ’em out. Thanks for watching and next
mission I guess, will be to go ahead and try to
retrieve that engine. We’re out of here. (intense music) (man shouts) Look at these guys,
these guys have a brewery right next to their shop. All right guys, don’t
mind the shaky camera. I got… Hello. – Hi. – [Alfred] I’m recording, do you have a problem with that or no. – No.
– You’re good? – Yeah. – [Alfred] I’m here to see Boyd. – Okay, he’s expecting you? – [Alfred] I told him was gonna
be earlier but I’m here now. – Okay, come on, I’ll
take you to his office. – [Alfred] You don’t recognize
my face by any chance? – On a video?
– Huh? – On a video.
– Yeah, that’s me. – [Lady] Yes. – [Alfred] Okay, let me go to Boyd. Can you take me over there real
quick ’cause I’m trying to, I wanna talk to him
about all the craziness that’s happened because this is crazy. – Yes. – [Alfred] Has it been crazy for you guys? – Not really, things
are busy but not crazy. – [Alfred] What are you guys selling? Everything?
– Everything. We sell pre-rig boats here. You can get them with the motors. There’s smaller ones that you
can get without the motors but everything’s pretty much, ready to go when you get outta here. This way. – [Alfred] I’m surprised I’m still alive because the people were
like, they’re like, “Dude, “I can’t believe you dropped the engine.” If you want, let him know I’m coming. – [Boyd] Hey. Hey buddy. How are you doing?
– Dude. – Good to see you. – [Alfred] You know how much
hate mail I got ’cause of you? – I’ve seen a couple. – Thank you so much.
– You’re welcome. – Oh my God, Boyd.
– I know. Big day yesterday. – Boyd, Boyd.
– Big day. – [Alfred] Dude, wow. You guys already took the engine off, she just showed me the engine? – Oh yeah, we took the engine
off and getting ready to just do a couple of
touch-ups on the transom and fix that rope guard and probably, put another pair of engines and I think we’ll go with
350s ’cause those L6 300s aren’t available anymore. – [Alfred] Nice. Look, dude, with these
comments, I wanted to get, I wanted to get your story
first on your decision-making. I don’t think this is
any wind set scenario. – Well, I don’t know. You think about what we did in the moment and I look back and say, “Would
I do anything differently?” And I don’t think so. I think we made the right choice, I made the right choice as
the captain on the boat. We had my son on the boat. He’s an experienced kid for his age. He’s into his go-karting,
professional go-karting. He’s into boating and
anything that goes fast with adventure. At no time was he scared in that. But for the safety of him, yourself, I think we did the right call. By releasing that motor, we were able to get home under our own power. We didn’t turn this into a fiasco where we required Salvage, Coast Guard, which comes at a huge expense. We could’ve left that motor hanging but I was afraid that it
would’ve damaged the second motor and left us stranded, damaged the hull. I think what we did, it was
the least amount of loss we could’ve done. That was a 15,000, $11,000 motor. – [Alfred] A lot of people say, “Well, I would have just tied
it off,” and stuff like that. Do you think we would’ve been able, looking back after the fact, do you think we would’ve
been able, it’s 700 pounds, and tie it off and where
would we’ve tied it off, on the tube or on the back? ‘Cause it’s gonna dangle. – We compromised that rope guard which was where we sort of tie the boat up from. We broke that. We could’ve probably
jerry-rigged something but I got a feeling, we probably
would’ve ended up damaging maybe the whole tubeset. We probably could’ve damaged the hull so, yeah, maybe we could’ve
but I think the end game, we would have done way
more damage to the boat than what we did from just releasing it after initial impact. – [Alfred] Okay, so,
here’s what I wanna do. And you can’t say no. I wanna go back and get it. – I was just actually looking through… We took a waypoint and marked
that spot where we dropped it. It’s on that line of 81 to 130 feet. I don’t know. I’d love to get that
motor up and I’d like to, for the environment and to prove that we just didn’t dump it but it’s deep. – [Alfred] I’ll try. Listen, listen, listen,
here’s the thing though. I’ll try, I got the people
that I think could do it. We’re talking about a
company, professionals and stuff like that. They’ll try and I kinda
remember where it fell. Obviously, if we have the mark, I’d like to try to get it. And honestly, I’d like
to try to salvage it and maybe even put it on the
Willard that I’m building, that 730 Willard that I’m building, that I got for like nothing. – If you get it up, she’s all yours buddy. That thing has a little wit
but it’s gonna require probably some new harness and a lot of oil and you gotta get on
that straightaway but, you also have to take the
equipment, you gotta take airbags, you gotta have divers that can do 120 feet and your dive time is– – [Alfred] I got friends, I got friends. Okay, look, let’s do a game
plan, let’s do a game plan. Let’s get the numbers, let
me look at everything good and then, I’m gonna
go, I have my RIB boat, I’m gonna go ahead and do,
one of my little crazy things and I’ll be able to
hook it and bring it in. I’ll talk to the divers,
see what they suggest. Obviously, they do this
more than me and then, if we can bring it up,
dude, that’ll be, one, we’re getting it out
okay so, a lot of people that were saying, “Well, you
guys are just dumping it,” now, people get the
understanding of why you did the decision you did. And I’m happy to be here
to be honest with you. – I have no problem with that. I think it’ll be great to get it back up. It would be awesome if you
could get that going again for yourself. You can have the motor and you know what? I’ll pay your expenses to
get that up, if you want. – [Alfred] Okay, that sounds like a plan. So look, I’m gonna find a window. Can we go to Black Betty
and walk her real quick? – Absolutely. – [Alfred] So, let’s go
over there real quick. And I wanna see, and one of
the things also that I wanna talk about, is what we
figured out, why it happened. ‘Cause I want people to see
that part of it as well. – We’ll show ’em. – [Alfred] Let’s see. I told the girl up front, I was like, “Hey, I’m gonna come in,
I’m gonna film and this,” now she goes, “Oh my God, please, no, no.” So, she was freaking out but I was like, “Look, don’t worry about it. “Just let me film.” I know you. – So, we took the rope guard off, that’s back at the fabricators,
it’s getting welded. We remove one engine, we’ve
got a new harness coming just ’cause we put so much
tension on that harness when it was hanging so,
it’s probably compromised. So, best thing is to replace it. The damage is a chip on
the gel coat down there and a broken underwater
light, it’ll buff out and I think we’re gonna be good. We did learn something. We built this boat with
the extra laminate, thicker transom and everything. We have taken those motors
on and off a couple times to optimize some different props, lifting them, dropping
them because this is truly, sort of a test boat but it’s a
well thought-out design plan. We use naval architects for the LCG and placement and structural lamination. One of the main fault from this after coming back and looking into it was a mismatch in hardware. Because of the thickness of the transom, we use longer bolts. The bolts we supplied with the, we put on the Honda 250
bolts and for some reason, one of the staff accidentally
put the Mercury nuts on there. Both fine threads, both same size. One’s a metric and
one’s a standard thread. And they torqued up to the
correct settings but obviously, they couldn’t take that– – [Alfred] So, just the
pounding is what stripped it? – The boat, for a 6,000 pound
boat that’s full of gas, it’s kinda heavy,
especially going airborne on every third wave, it just couldn’t take the torque on the threads
that were grabbing. – [Alfred] There were some
people that were saying, “Look, you didn’t put six bolts,
you should’ve put six bolts “or double-bolt ’em or
5,200 or certain things.” What do you wanna say about
certain things like that? – We 5,200’d the bolts. We put the big washers on
there, we build this last year, we’re probably close to 1,000
RIBs out of this facility. – [Alfred] I see you guys
got a bunch of them here. This is a huge facility. – They were torqued correctly. They had the washers on them. There were nyloc nuts, they
were all done correctly. We didn’t six-bolt ’em because
we had the engines up so high for performance with
those four plate props that there wasn’t enough holes
to six-bolt these on this. Typically, when we do installations
with 300s, 350s, we do, depends on how it’s gonna be
used, where it’s gonna be used, we do four-bolt or a
six-bolt installation. – [Alfred] What are you
gonna do differently now in this area now? When you re-power, what
are you gonna do now, what’s the game plan like? – The game plan is, so, it’s a QC issue, it’s quality control. This was not a engine
manufacturer’s issue, it was an in-house quality
control issue of ours. We’ve put more checks
and balances in place to make sure that these things
don’t happen and making sure with boats like this
that take these loads, that there’s a second set of
eyes checking the installation. – [Alfred] Is this Fluid over here, is this the same Fluid as Black Betty? – It is, it’s got the static console, it’s sort of just our fiberglass one. This one’s just sort of
halfway through its production. It’s gonna take engines, it’s gonna take another pair of 300s. – [Alfred] I don’t think
I’ve seen this one. – It’s exact same hull. The difference is, this doesn’t have the same structural integrity
that Black Betty has. It doesn’t need it because it doesn’t have all
the torsion bars and shocks and doesn’t have the same stress loads. So, this is more of your
family, 36 foot boot. – [Alfred] 36 recreational. Well, look. Let’s talk about the spot
location, where it’s at, let’s strategize that real quick and I’m gonna try to get this motor. Look, I think probably the window. Everybody I talk to is
like, “Dude, it’s too deep,” whatever blah, blah, blah. But I think there’s
value in at least trying. So, I’ll do the video and I’ll show it, of me at least trying to get to it. And I’ll tell you, I’m talking about these guys are badasses. – And it’s a heavy motor and if you don’t have the equipment, typically, salvage of
something like this is, the big professional operators with ships. – [Alfred] I’m Alfred
Montaner, don’t worry. Listen, you said the key thing, Alfred, it’s yours, that’s it. I will get it, if I
find it, I will get it. So, whatever. I just hope that the
people that are commenting on my YouTube channel don’t
kill me before I find it. – Good luck, man, good luck. – [Alfred] Hey guys, Boyd, thank you. – Thank you. – [Alfred] And look guys,
I wanna say here publicly, I said, “Look, Boyd,
I think it’s important “for you to show this
because it’ll show that “you’re not scared of
showing what really happens,” and I’ll tell you what, I would say, nine out of 10 people would’ve said, “Don’t show that, Alfred.” If somebody tells me
not to show something, I’m not gonna show it because I understand the power of this channel and YouTube. But I really appreciate that ’cause you didn’t have to do that, you could’ve easily
said no, don’t show it, just show the parts where we’re jumping and kumbaya, yadda, yadda. But I think, if anything, we can have people
that’ll learn from this. And mistakes happen and in
this case, there was a mistake. – Absolutely, yeah. There’s a bunch of haters out there and I think we did the right thing. I have been boating my whole career, I’ve got 100,000 miles offshore,
I’ve been around the world, yacht races, this is what I do. The risk we run when you
push boats to the limit and there’s some damage control from putting this out
publicly but it also shows the type of boat and the
vessel we’re building and how well built it is. – [Alfred] Yeah, nothing
happened to the boat. – Exactly and it’s just, it’s
an internal issue that we had with the failpoint here. – [Alfred] Sweet. Hey guys, well, listen, there you have it, Boyd from Sirocco. Anything cool that I can show? My channel is all about RIB boats so, anything cool, different, interesting? – We’ve got some war boats
and the Fluids being built, six meter coach boats, Seto, joint air compliant boats,
police boats, risky boats. – [Alfred] Do you have
any police boats here? – [Boyd] This one here, it’s just about, we’re just starting on this police boat. – [Alfred] This one here? – [Boyd] Yup. It’s for someone in South Florida. It’ll be a high visibility boat. I can’t tell you who it is yet. – [Alfred] What do you mean? Or maybe off-camera you could tell me. (laughs) – Little rescue boats
going down to Belize, about five-meter. – [Alfred] These look nice. So, you guys are starting
to work all this here? – And then we’ve got the
BRIG recreational line. – [Alfred] And what’s the other showroom that has a bunch of boats over there? That’s just like a pretty–
– That’s the showroom. – [Alfred] This is where
they put everything together? – Yeah, this is assemble. Next door to the right is warehouse where there’s about 100 big RIBs there. – [Alfred] There’s 100 to the right? Dude, hold on. – This one’s off to Nantucket. Not sure where that one’s going. These are going up to Kochwitze. We’ve got some going, Carefree. – [Alfred] Isn’t there a BRIG like this? Like this Fluid here, very
similar that I saw at the show? – Yeah, next door, there’s a 10-meter. We just delivered one to
Mu-sha-ki, a month ago. That was a good trip, it was
280 miles, one refuel, NASA. It was actually a really nice
trip with good weather window. So this is where we
stock the boats you see. – [Alfred] Wow, the lights
just turn on by themselves every time you walk. – Uh-huh. – [Alfred] Cool. Wow, dude. So, these are all what, these
are all like, 12 footers, look 360s? – So, that’s 12-footer. All these boats here have steering wheels. They’re all, these are all BRIG boats
waiting to be assembled. – [Alfred] Holy smack. – And these are Fluids waiting to go up to our Georgia facility, which we have a lamination
facility in Georgia. – [Alfred] Oh, this has the same thing. What was that, that metal
piece that you had earlier, that you talked about when
we finished the video. – It’s a Cutwater or a kill guard. – [Alfred] Yeah, Cutwater. – Depends what part of the country. – [Alfred] Dude, there’s
so many boats here. Where are the engines? Is there like a secret
stash for the engines? – It’s so easy to get,
they come in every week. Unless you want Mercury 300s,
you can’t get at the moment but Yamahas are back in stock. Honda’s always got inventory in stock. Typically, this is a
revolving door of inventory, there’s containers coming
in every week and the guys assemble boats and deliver. – [Alfred] Look, it’s
towards the end of the day. I hear the workers over there, already they’re already off the clock and there’s a brewery right next door. How much is that a problem? – A lot. We only have two drinkers. (laughs) I’m disappointed. – [Alfred] Listen, listen. I think I gotta go get a drink, after reading all those
comments, I have to get a drink. I’m gonna really try to
get this thing, Boyd, I’m gonna really do it. – Cool. – [Alfred] Let’s look at the thing, I’m really gonna get this thing. After the worst week I had, the prior week and then I jumped on the
boat and that happened, I was like, “Dude, it can’t
get any worse than this.” There’s gotta something good happening. We’ll see. – [Boyd] Good luck. – [Alfred] Guys, thank you
Sirocco Marine, Black Betty, right now, she is motorless
but we’re gonna find, we’re gonna find some
and we’ll do it again. We’ll do it again, I wanna do it again. I wanna drive this time. We’ll do it, if it’s not sold because I think it’s gonna be already sold by the time that you get there. – Oh yeah. We got a lot of good leads
from people wanting to buy that just from that video. – [Alfred] Isn’t that
incredible like somebody, I guess people are like,
“Oh, I’ll never buy that,” but I think people that see
that say, “Well you know what, “you can tell there is
an issue with somebody, “there was something that went
wrong, not per se, the boat.” – They wanted to know
what the problem was, have we rectified the issue. Identified, rectified and then, how soon can they have
multiple of these boats? – [Alfred] Dude, I wanna talk to that guy. I really wanna talk to
that guy, when you sell it, let me talk to him. I’ll do a sea trial with him. I wanna pick that guy’s brain. All right guys, hey, we’re
out of here for the 15th time. I’m outta here. Hey, Boyd, thank you so much. Listen, I really appreciate everything. You’re shaking on it, it’s my motor if I get.
– It’s your motor. – It’s my motor if I get.
– Your motor. – [Alfred] If I get it it’s mine. – Good luck. – [Alfred] With my luck,
the people are gonna go, they’ll see the video, I’ll
retrieve it, they’re gonna say, “Look at this guy destroying
an artificial reef.” – Don’t show ’em the coordinates,
they’ll beat you to it. – [Alfred] Yeah, I know, right? All right, guys. Hey, guys, thank you. – All right, take care.
– So much, have a good one. Sirocco Marine. Everybody’s gone. The brewery, that’s where
I’m going guys, let’s go. Holy shit. – The motor broke off. – [Alfred] Holy shit. Holy. – Oh my God. – [Alfred] Turn off everything. Turn off everything.
– Turn everything off, everything off. – [Alfred] Turn off the other, Boyd. – Turn everything off. – [Alfred] What did it come off of? It just came off. – [Boyd] The bolts on that
sheared, all the bolts came out. – All right, guys. I got Nelson and Pedro
from Underwater Services, we’re all loaded up. We’re on La Bestia. And we’re ready to do this. I got my mechanic and friend,
Rodolfo, we’re ready to go. (speaks in foreign language) People don’t think this is gonna happen, we’re gonna take it out. Guys, we’re gonna take it out, let’s go. Hey look, beautiful day. Five to 10 baby, let’s do this. All right guys, so we
just got here to the spot, we’re gonna go ahead and start
getting everything ready. The nearest area was about 15 miles away. That was one of the problems
that we had last time is that, it was so far away that we
didn’t want it to damage the boat or the other engine and it
was really rough that day. Today’s a nice, clear day. Big difference, as opposed to that day. We’re taking it easy, we’re gonna go ahead and
try to go down first, we’re gonna go ahead and circle, they’re gonna start looking at the spot, we’re gonna check out the bottom floor to see exactly what we’re working with. So, stay tuned guys, this is
gonna be a crazy, crazy video. Check this out, what he’s doing right now, he just threw an anchor. And what we’re gonna start doing, is we’re gonna start circling from that point where we just dropped. So, now we’ll go ahead and start. You see the rope? It comes all the way down in here. He’s actually, yeah, he’s
gonna start following it now. (speaks in foreign language) He’s coming back. He’s looking bro, he’s looking. We’re gonna get this,
man, we’re gonna get this. You’ll see you guys. We’re gonna get this. All right guys, preliminary right now, we’re gonna go ahead and start looking. We already have the spot. (speaks in foreign language) We got the spot first. (speaks in foreign language) We’re in neutral guys, we’re in. (speaks in foreign language) All right guys, so, I’m gonna
be a little bit south of them. Not so close and I’m
gonna be just basically going back and forth on neutral, just trying to maintain
my spot, getting away and then they can look up and have an idea of once they start
circling, where the boat is. So, I mean, everybody has
a little bit to do here and obviously, I told them, I go, “Look, “if there’s anything unsafe, don’t do it.” My priority is for everybody to be safe, but if you feel comfortable
and we can get it, let’s do it, let’s get it and
let’s be as safe as possible. (laughing) All right guys, they just resurfaced. It’s there? Yeah baby, we got it! Woo hoo! (speaks in foreign language) We located it baby, we got it! (laughing) We got it, the fun begins! Woo, I told you we were gonna get this. I told you, hey I told you,
guys we got it, we located it. That was it, that was
the hardest part, guys. That was the hardest part
right there, guys, that’s it. Now we bring that bad boy up
and straight up amazingness. All right guys, let’s go down. We’re gonna go down with you guys. All right, we’re gonna
go down with you guys, we’re gonna check this out. Let me tell you guys,
straight up amazingness. This is what we do on this channel. These guys are the beast. You see them and you’re like, “Ah, these guys are a little older.” Listen, there’s no
substitute for experience. There’s no substitute for experience. Dude, we haven’t even been here 15 minutes and these guys have already located that. (speaks in foreign language) Be careful, (speaks in foreign language). Neutral, we’re in neutral. (speaks in foreign language) The cowling is off, they’re telling me. (speaks in foreign language) Perfect baby. (speaks in foreign language) All right guys, okay. (breathing mask droning) They’re right under us. See, see, see right there,
they’re just coming up. Okay guys, it’s coming up. It’s coming up, it’s coming up guys. Okay. (speaks in foreign language) All right guys, it’s coming up. (breathing mask hissing) (speech muffled) (speech muffled) (motor humming) I see some bubbles coming up. It’s coming up guys. It’s starting, oh my God, yeah! That’s what we’re talking about baby! She’s here, woo! She’s here. (speaks in foreign language) We gotta go ahead and get it now. (speaks in foreign language) 100% safe. All right. All right guys, so we got it up. We have got it up, it’s there. All right guys, it’s there. All right, they’re a little
bit further away from us. They’re gonna start decompressing. Listen, now it’s about
safety, safety, safety. They were safe getting it down there. They’re already decompressing
coming on the way up. But that’s it guys, that’s
the hardest part right there. That’s the hardest part right there. Wow, this is incredible, intense. Guys, this is the safe way to do it, man. You come prepared, you
don’t try to, be a hero when you just had a
catastrophic situation. I know man, I know, listen, I know I got a lot of
comments and stuff like that but guys listen, under the scenario, it’s not as easy like it is,
or behind a computer saying, “I woulda just tied a rope,”
it’s not like that guys. Look, there’s a little kid in the boat, there’s so much going on. So, we’re getting to them now, guys. (water bubbling) (speaks in foreign language) Guys, I’ll call you later, man. (speaks in foreign language) All right guys. Look where the, all the way over there, is the dye flag, we’re sure it’ll hold that. (speaks in foreign language) We’re good guys, we’re good. We’re good, this is happened. (speaks in foreign language) All right guys, so listen
up, we’re here, we got it. Now, we’re just in about
15, 20 feet of water. (speaks in foreign language) So, yeah, yeah. So, what we’re doing, we’re
slowly bringing it back and we’re in 15, 20 feet of water and we’re just heading
back little by little, so it’s gonna take us a
long time to get there and then what we’re gonna do is, we’re gonna go ahead and
nurse everything over there, we don’t wanna do anything in the water. So, everything is gonna be done offshore. So, we brought stuff just to make sure that everything is okay. But listen guys, I will re-stress again and when I started this video, I had my life vest and all that stuff. Always wear your life vest,
always wear your lanyard. Do the responsible thing to do. If you’re not responsible out here, you can be in situations like we were. I was fortunate, I really was because I could’ve easily been
ejected from that boat and I learned from that situation. We got it, we’re gonna try to rehab it. I wanna show people, look guys, even if you don’t have a lot of money, you might be able to be
creative and get stuff and do things like this. Hey, maybe we can the
boat started and what not. Even if we don’t, that wasn’t the purpose. The purpose was, listen, we had a scenario that was very, very crazy and we made a decision at that moment and now we came back and
we fixed that decision. It’s better when you think
something thoroughly through, as opposed to just, tryna
do something and be a hero. We’re all set up today for all this and we still had issues and problems and stuff that we didn’t expect. So, I’m fortunate, I’m with
a company that we hired and they’re very experienced and they were able to
find this and do it fast. We actually had a window, we
were waiting on the window to make sure the weather was perfect, so the water could be clear. If it’s not clear and
the weather’s terrible, you’re fighting against mother nature and you’re gonna be doomed to fail. So, let’s get it back, thank
you guys for joining with me, I hope this is something that
those that saw that video prior to this one could say,
“Well look, you know what? “The guy did the right thing.” And listen, I was told to try to get it. Get it, we’ll take of your expenses, just try to make it happen. And I said, “Listen, we can
get it, I know we can get it.” From the day it happened,
I knew we’re gonna get it. Now, we got lucky that we
got it as fast as we did but I think we picked a good window. I appreciate you guys. I thank all you guys that did
all those positive remarks and had faith, I would look
at those comments and be like, “Man, these people, “you just wanna spew hate for no reason.” But, it is what it is. We’re there, we minimized everything, everything environmentally,
we try to minimize completely. All right guys, let us go back in. All right guys, we’re ending it. We have made it to the promised land, we’re almost there guys. Over here, to the end, that’s the ramp. Oh my goodness, what a crazy day, dude. What an incredible day. But, we’ll be able to see everything now, how much damage this engine
got, as soon as we pull it out, should be interesting. This low tide isn’t helping. So we might have to fill up
now with a little bit more air. And good thing is, it’s during the week and not a lot of people in and
out of these ramps right now. So, you can’t do something
like this on the weekend. It’d be a huge problem. So, I think this was the window and we were able to capitalize
on it, so, let’s get in. (speaks in foreign language) We’re good guys. We did it, we did it! Wow, let’s go see this beautiful, let’s see this beautiful work of art. (speaks in foreign language) All right guys, we did it! Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! (speaks in foreign language) Yeah baby, we did it, what a day bro. What a day guys, Pedro, thank you sir. The man has done miracles out here, guys. I know you guys can’t
visualize, it’s hard, I know it’s hard, trust me it’s hard. I’m gonna have that thing going. (mimics revving engine) (chuckles) So, we got this little
hoist that we’re gonna use. Guys, with all this stuff, with all this stuff, it’s been difficult. Even with that lift, okay, that bag, it’s been difficult. So, imagine when people say,
“Oh, just drag it and pull it,” dude, it doesn’t work that way. It’s not like that, first of all, it’s a lot harder than what it seems. Once you’ve been there, you’ll understand. It’s crazy stuff, man. Crazy stuff. We still haven’t gotten it
out, but we’re getting there. (speaks in foreign language) All right guys. We’re gonna see if we can take her home. We are going to see if
we can take her home. Oh my God. This is the craziest,
unbelievable experience I have, not really done
because I’ve done worse. But guys, let’s say we did it. All right guys, like I said the other day, “Oh nothing happened,
let’s check out the boat,” listen, the boat’s a beast guys. The motor was destined
to make a scene today. All right, she’s out. Guys witnessing, hey you guys, listen. – That’s good shit. – Isn’t that incredible?
– That’s awesome. – You got it out the bottom of the ocean? – [Alfred] 100 feet of water. Listen, people are gonna think that this was all fabricated and made up. – Nah, this is real shit right here. – Is this real stuff? – This came out the bottom of the ocean. – [Alfred] This is real stuff. – I don’t even know this
guy, this is my boat. – [Alfred] Listen, listen. We dropped the engine because
it was dangerous, dude, and I’d said we were gonna get it back. You know what, Alfred
Montaner is a man of his word and it’s all on YouTube, guys. Check it out, you’re
gonna see it, crazy stuff. Hey, don’t forget, hey, craziness. I’m telling’ you this thing is crazy, bro. Crazy! All right, listen I
wanna go ahead and thank Underwater Services, dude,
these guys are beast. All right, they do welding,
they do everything, these guys salvaged this
engine and they got it from us. Listen, we got here, Nelson. Nelson, thank you so much man. You guys were true professionals. Pedro, what a beast. And Rodolfo, my main man. We already soaked it up, we’re ready. We’re already getting ready to go. Amazingness, that’s what we do, ’cause we never quit and we never give up and we never ever leave
a twin in the ocean. We do things right. Remember, clean up your home. I’m Alfred Montaner and thank you for
subscribing to my channel. (suspenseful music) (man shouts) All right guys, all right, here it is. Here is where we’re going. All right guys. Eric and Jeremy are friends of mines and we’ve done business
together in the past and they’re Mercury guys and
they know a lot about engines. They could do anything, but,
I’m gonna surprise them. I sent Eric the video the other
day, so, it should be funny. (speaks in foreign language) What’s up bro? – What’s goin’ on man,
what are you doing’? – [Alfred] I’m filming bro. Bro, tell me you saw that video. – Oh I saw it, it’s crazy man. – [Alfred] It’s insane, huh? Hold on, let me get to this side, hold on. Hold on, hold on, hold on. Bro.
– What’s up man? – [Alfred] Jerry! – Is the motor still in the water? – [Alfred] It’s still in the water, bro, it’s been about a week. – A week? – [Alfred] A week and some time. – That’s probably done already, man. – [Alfred] Listen, listen, listen, listen, listen Linda! You never seen that video on YouTube? Listen, listen, listen, listen Linda! Listen Linda, listen. We gotta get it bro. I need– – How are you gonna get it though? – [Alfred] Look, I got a
friend of mine that’s a diver, we’re gonna go, we’re gonna
hit it up in the water. But, here’s what I need from you. I need a starter, it could be
used, and I need that shunt so we can try to see
if we can turn it over. – You gotta do it quick, though. – [Alfred] No, no, no, I know, listen. – Once it’s out of the
water you gotta do it fast to be able to start it up. – [Alfred] Look, just be on
standby, I need a couple things, if you could hook me up with that. And then, we’ll see if, I wanna try to rehab it
right then and there, once we get it offshore. So, I don’t know. I don’t know, everybody thinks I’m crazy. Some people say it’s kinda crazy and other people say it’s just plain dumb. – Well, it coulda happened to old me. You gotta try at least. – Just let us know what you need, man. – [Alfred] Cart here, we have alley cart, they’re doing their own thing. All right, so we need one of these. We need one of these, for sure. So, this is coming with us. We got the shunt, we
already got that in the box, we got the starter in the box. Two bolts, oh, all I need is two bolts? Just two?
– Just two bolts. – [Alfred] Nah, I’m not gonna go, listen, don’t worry about it. I’m gonna have to do probably
a recovery on this too. (laughing) – Don’t sink the shunt, man. – [Alfred] No, no, no. All right, just kidding. Listen, you guys gotta see the contraption I made on the side of the RIB. – If anybody can do it, it’s you. – [Alfred] Listen, there’s
nobody that’s crazier than me, especially when it comes
to all my missions. (laughing) But guys, listen, I really appreciate it. I’m gonna take that now. Look, I’m gonna try to get it tomorrow. If I can’t get it tomorrow, we’re gonna go the following day. And if I can’t get it the following day then we’re just gonna
call it quits, whatever, but I think we’re gonna do it. – Can’t give up. – [Alfred] No, no, no, listen, listen. Bro, I lost a drone for three days and I was in the middle of
the mangroves for three days finding it and I found
it, and it was a drone. This is bigger, so. – Just patience, that’s all it takes. – [Alfred] All right,
listen, I’ll bring this back, thank you for the stuff, guys. – You got it. – [Alfred] Let’s see, bro. I think this is gonna be epic. This thing’s gonna be epic, bro, watch. – Let me know what you need. – [Alfred] All right, we
gotcha bro, thank you so much. – All right, man. (speaks in foreign language) (hose hissing) – [Alfred] All right guys, so
we’re just, we’re right now gonna see what goes on in here. We’re taking out the oil. Let’s see if it has any oil. If the oil rose to the top when it was… (speaks in foreign language) Let’s see what comes out, if
it comes straight oil or water. Some water coming out,
ooh yeah, lots of water. Lots and lots and lots of water. (water splashing) It’ll probably throw
out some oil at the end. (speaks in foreign language) Okay. (speaks in foreign language) It’s all water guys, it’s all water. Just in case, if there’s anything. So, we’re gonna flush her
out now and put new oil and then we’ll work on her tomorrow. But, at least you guys got
to see some of the process. That’s a lot of water
that’s in there, man. A lot of water. (water splashing) Now what we’ll do, is we’ll flush her. (speaks in foreign language) Straight up salt water. Oh look, there it goes, there it goes, there it goes, there
it goes, there it goes. There it goes, guys. There it goes. There it goes. There it goes. All right, remember, oil
always rises to the top. So, there it is. For all you people that were thinking that that was gonna be in
the bottom of the ocean. It’s right now, in Rodolfo’s front yard. We’re gonna have to clean this up now ’cause his wife is gonna go crazy on us. All right, there it is, there it is. All the oil in the ocean guys, listen. It’s over, man, that’s it. We’re gonna make it right. We wanna be safe doing’ it. Now that is oil. A lot of it. See that? See that guys? All right, now we’re talking business. – [Rodolfo’s Wife] Rodolfo? – Hey. – [Alfred] All right guys. (engine cranking) (speaks in foreign language) (whining) (water bubbling) (speaks in foreign language) And there she is guys. We’re gonna flush the crap out of her now, rinse her like there’s no tomorrow. And see in the morning,
how bad she’s hurt. We’ll see, guys. Listen. Crazy, epic day, to say the least. I still wanna laugh at the people who think that they can go
ahead and get this motor and just basically tie
it off on their boat. You guys are gonna end up on the news if you try to be a hero. It’s not as easy as it looks or you think. When you get in those
situations, you realize, uh-oh, it’s craziness. We actually had on the side of the boat, we couldn’t even turn the boat and it’s a 20-foot boat with a 250 on it. The plugs are off. All that stuff’s gonna
have to be changed anyways but no corrosion yet. The computer looks pretty decent. What do you guys think? All right, guys, she’s coming back. Oh, that’s crazy dude, what
a day, let me tell you. It’s coming down, she’s
gonna live in her stand. That’s it, she’s there. That’s it. (speaks in foreign language) (hose spraying) So, we’re right now, gonna see what goes on in here. We’re taking out the oil. Let’s see if it has any oil. If the oil rose to the top when it was… (speaks in foreign language) Let’s see what comes out, if it comes out straight oil or water.
We wanted to be safe doing’ it. Now that is oil. A lot of it. See that? See that guys? All right, now we’re talking business. – Rodolfo?
– Hey. (speaks in foreign language) – So, take a look, how much oil. That’s a lot of oil. I would say, I don’t know, it’s not half, half a
bucket but obviously, the water came out first because, oil rises to the top and
now what we’re gonna do is, we’re gonna get some diesel and we’re gonna start pickling this and then we’re gonna put
some Marvel Mystery oil and then we’re gonna let
it sit with some oil. So, make sure everything’s
turning, lubricate everything and then in the morning, we’ll start taking everything apart. All right and then we’re gonna be like, (mimics revving engine)
doing RIB Fishing episodes with a 300 Mercury Verado with 12 hours. It had a little incident but, it is what it is, people. (speaks in foreign language) So, one of the two of them
got damaged, see right there? All right, let’s check
out those spark plugs. Guys it’s 10:30 at night. (speaks in foreign language) Look at that, look at
that, look at that guys, look at that, look at that,
look at that, look at that. Straight up salty goodness
baby, salty goodness. It’s all right, don’t worry about it, that’s why we’re doing what we’re doing. Makes it more interesting. I guess the best adventures are the ones that are the craziest. ‘Cause I’m trying to get
a lot of this footage as much as I can but it’s late tonight and he’s gonna be banging
on this in the morning and I live a little far from him. Look at this. Oh yeah, look at this guys, look at this. There he goes, there you
go, come on, come on, throw it up baby, don’t worry about it, you had a long night. It was two weeks of nastiness. There you go, there
you go baby, it’s okay. (laughs) You guys man, let me tell you, you guys are getting
to see everything, man, that’s pretty cool. Hey guys, smash the like. If you wanna see more
of this type of content and all this craziness, smash the like. Let other people see this
type of stuff because, if you guys don’t like these videos, other people won’t get suggested to them and this is all the craziness
that Alfred Montaner does. 10:30 at night. There it is. Wow. We got one more guys. And get in there. That’s too close. All right, all spark plugs are out. Oil’s out, spark plugs are out. She already took a nice little bath. The best scenario would
probably be just dunking her upside down in a big old freshwater tank, give her a real good bath. All right, guys so, he’s gonna
start spinning the engine, so, hold on, let me, oh, wait. See that? That’s super important. Get that engine spinning, start
spitting all that saltwater. All right, so that’s
good, that’s really good. That’s really, really good. There’s life in those pistons baby, woo! (laughs) This is crazy. Oh, shoot, my phone got wet. That was a stream. (chuckles) Better the phone than the camera. Let me get a better angle. All right guys, well, you
guys get the gist of it. Let him keep doing that
till all the water gets out. All right guys so, remember
Eric, friend of mine said, “Let me borrow the shunt,” (speaks in foreign language) Remember, he let me borrow the starter, there’s the starter that he let me borrow and now you’re gonna
see why we borrowed it. So, what we’re gonna do is, we’re gonna try to crank over the engine, get some more of that stuff
outta there with the starter. It doesn’t look bad, dude,
there’s nothing really like, no oxidation and stuff like that. As long as you get it out ASAP and start doing all this stuff, once it hits air is when
it starts corroding. If you don’t do this and
you let it sit for two days, you’re done, it’s over, there’s no hope. 12 hours, man, this
thing has 12 hours, dude. All right guys, the starter
is ready to come off. (mutters) Starter’s off. New starter goes back in. And now, we’ll get the battery
and make a scene with it. (speaks in foreign language) (engine cranks) We’re gonna put some diesel in there now. Some diesel now, where he
flushed it out real good. And now, now we’re gonna start, (speaks in foreign language) From gunk to milk chocolate, baby. Now, it’s like a fresh
diarrhea coming back. (speaks in foreign language) All right guys. So, what we’re doing now is, we’re getting some of
the Marvel Mystery oil. We put some diesel in there, a whole five gallons worth and now, we’re getting the Marvel
Mystery oil put in there. This stuff, I’m a believer
in this product, man. All right guys, we have
a couple more to put but I’ll spare you guys
from watching that process. All right guys, so, we got
diesel, Marvel Mystery oil, we cranked it over and it’s
all the way to the pump up top and now what we’re gonna do is, we’re gonna put some Marvel Mystery oil in the spark plugs. So, spark plugs are there,
we’re gonna put some right here with this small little pump and we got it there. (speaks in foreign language) That’s straight up,
Marvel Mystery oil, guys. All right guys, so we put
the Marvel Mystery oil, we got the diesel in there
mixed with Marvel Mystery oil, we just put some Marvel Mystery
oil where the spark plugs go and now we’re putting
the spark plugs back. You see how it’s all full in there? See? It’s almost 12 o’clock at night but we feel a lot better
so far about this engine than we did when we first saw it. When we first saw it,
she was making a scene, she was in the middle of the ocean. So, what do you guys think, huh? Now, this is what you gotta do. You gotta pickle it, got
to get everything out, blow everything out,
go one by one by wires and tomorrow, he’s gonna
start disassembling everything and like I said guys,
I’m not gonna be here because I got other things
I gotta take care of but he’ll take it all apart and then we’re gonna have
to get another harness here ’cause this harness was
broke, you see here? That’s all broken so, we’re
gonna have to get a harness. Regardless, we would’ve
had to get that anyways and once we start her up, we’re pretty confident she’s
gonna start up, we’ll be good. We’ll start it up, let it run, run, run and just let her run on a big old tank. All right guys so, it’s over. We’re done, we’re cleaning up our mess so that nobody slips in the morning. It’s one in the morning. We put a little bit of degreaser on the bottom part of this area where we made a little bit
of a mess and that’s it. She’s pickled, we’re gonna
let her sit overnight and then, start taking
everything off tomorrow. Cleaning, blowing out, everything,
everything, CorrosionX, that’s another thing we’re gonna be using. A lot of. All right guys, listen,
thank you for watching. I am so tired, I didn’t wanna
say anything other than, you know what, hit the subscribe button and make sure you hit
the like button because this YouTube thing is starting
to become work for me. I always said to myself,
if this becomes work, I don’t know if I wanna do it. I got a real job, not this YouTube thing. All right guys, so let’s walk, look at her, initial assessment. She’s not terrible. Obviously, I’m sure
she’s seen better days. A couple things got hit on the impact but she’s pickled now and here’s where she had, I guess,
where she went down hard. See that right there? Let me see if you guys
can see that right there. See that? That’s where it was. But listen guys, I think there’s a good story to be told here that some crazy Cuban from
Miami went two weeks afterwards and picked up a Mercury
Verado 300 with 12 hours and I saw it. That’s what we live for on this channel. Hey guys, I’m outta
here for the 15th time. Please, please, please,
please, like and subscribe. I’m Alfred Montaner and I am exhausted. Later. Holy shit. – The motor broke off. – [Alfred] Holy shit. We lost it, guys, we lost the engine. Boyd, mark the spot,
mark the spot, mark it. – Yeah, I’ll mark the spot on the GPS. (speaks in foreign language) – People don’t think this is gonna happen, we’re gonna take it out. (whining) (speaks in foreign language) There it goes, guys. There it goes. There it goes. There it goes. (engine cranking) Yeah, no, no, babe, listen,
listen, listen babe, listen. Okay, go to Craigslist, okay. Put, brand-new Mercury Verado, slight scratches, recently serviced. 12,500. Yeah, don’t worry, it’s
fine, it doesn’t matter babe, they won’t know. Relax, just put it on there, trust me. Yeah, I’m fixing it now but
just put it on Craigslist now, I wanna see who bites. Yeah, put it on offer up
too, it’s the same thing. The people. I gotta work, I gotta
go ahead and put this, I gotta put this together. I’ll call you back, let
me put this together. All right, love you. Look at this guys, you hear that? Full of water. Done, computer. Rodolfo’s taking everything apart. Everything, look, let’s look at this, assessment real quick so you guys can see. It’s not too, too bad. You’re starting to see a little bit of, and what we did yesterday
I think helped out a lot and now we’re just
gonna take it all apart. Clean everything real,
real good and we got time. We’re working it. (speaks in foreign language) All right guys so, right
now, he just uncovered it. Here’s the engine. We took everything and
everything is coming apart. We put mister, I’m sorry,
he calls it mister oils, Marvel Mystery oil. (speaks in foreign language) Here’s what we got. This starter was a borrow,
they let me borrow that. So, I gotta get a computer. Once I get a computer
and the engine harness, we’ll try to fire her up. See, this side is a little bit better but this side already started getting rust and that was prior to us opening it. So, we opened it immediately
and that was like that already. I think we got to it in time. All right guys, so, I’m basically
putting on some CorrosionX all over this area. Just getting it in everywhere good. We cleaned everything up with
diesel and stuff like that. All right guys, all right. So, we have everything
already taken apart, we took it apart as fast as possible. We’re gonna take this to the machine shop. We did get rust already on here. You guys can see that a
little bit on the valves. But we’ll take it to the machine shop, make it all pretty and brand new. I think we got ourself an engine that’s gonna last
us for many, many years. All right, guys. So, here she is, Miss America. Remember, that’s where the damage was. And that’s it guys. She’s looking good. I think the Marvel
Mystery oil and the diesel gave us enough time to take
her apart but see that guys? Beautiful, she looks fantastic. (yelps) Got that on camera. (speaks in foreign language) Got that on camera. See. All right, beautiful. We’re gonna take this to the machine shop, we’ll have them work this and we’re good. (speaks in foreign language) Everywhere while he’s doing it. All around, everywhere. (machine whirring) All right, guys. And as you see, she’s
nice and pretty and clean. Beautiful, beautiful. These, we’re gonna take
to the machine shop. We knew this was gonna happen since we weren’t able
to start it right away. We tried to do everything
possible to minimize but that’s fine we’ll take
it to the machine shop. It’ll be better than new, better than new. You guys can’t visualize. (mimics revving engine) All right guys, CorrosionX for the win. We gotta try to save this guys, we gotta. And so, thing with this engine has been a whole community event, to say the least. A lot of people wanna see this rise again. So, that’s why we’re kinda
doing what we’re doing because the story is
good, it’s a nice story. When we did it, we didn’t
expect like oh, whatever, we were just like, “Look,
let’s make this right, “get it out of the ocean,”
and then I was like, “You know what, how cool would
it be if we get this motor “and put it on one of the RIB boats?” A lot of people that follow my channel know about the Willard 730. It’s a RIB that I picked up in Virginia. It’s a cool story, there’s
a video on my channel if you guys wanna check it
out, you can see it there. It’s cool, it’s a good story. I drove a thousand miles. I bought the great white
which is an old excursion just to be able to pull the big boat. But it’s a nice story. All right guys, so, we’re lubing it up. More CorrosionX. And then once we start getting
and putting it all together, we do a good, good final cleaning. Let’s close it up. So no air gets in there. What was that? Wait, hold on, you guys
hear that, you hear that? (mimics revving engine) All right guys, so, we’re gonna leave the pistons all soaking in diesel and also in some Marvel Mystery oil. So, we’re gonna let them all sit. We’re gonna change all the
rings so, we’ll change ’em all just, we’re already here. Let’s not be cheap. We’re gonna change ’em. So far, we’re looking pretty good, much better than what we thought. Let me tell you man, I am blessed. (truck beeps) To say the least, guys. I get a call, I get a
call from, well actually, I get a text message from the
owner of Carrera and he says “Hey, talk to Anthony, he’s
got something for you.” I call Anthony and ask
him, “What’s up bro? “Told me to call you, yadda, yadda.” Look at them there. (speaks in foreign language) I heard you have a goodie box for me. – Got a little some, some for you. – [Alfred] You a little goodie box? – Got a little some, some for you. – [Alfred] Let’s show
them, let’s show them, let’s show them, let’s show them. – Let’s check it out. – [Alfred] Let’s show them, oh my God. Look at Anthony. Hey, bro. Hey, I really, listen. – We pulled this one of a
lake, it’s not outta the ocean. It’s fresh water. – [Alfred] That’s for playing around. But you know what, they pulled some… (speaks in foreign language) Thank you sir, you are the man. – You’re welcome. – [Alfred] Guys, so they came through. Obviously, I’ve been going crazy, I needed a couple things for this engine. I’m telling you, this is like a community, this is a community motor,
this is a community motor. – I got your goodie, goodie over here. – [Alfred] So, here’s
what I asked them for. I need a computer, boom. I needed two coils.
– Bam, bam. Ta-da. – [Alfred] You guys are the best, bro. – We’ve been blessed. – [Alfred] Thank you so much, bro. Hey, listen, bro, seriously
guys, hey, Carrera, you guys came through, guys. If you haven’t seen some
of the videos I’ve done, I just recently did a video of
this guy right here, this 32. Take a look at it bro,
you guys are awesome man. Thank you so much. When I got that call–
– Very welcome. We wanna see that engine turn on. – [Alfred] It is, it is, it is. – And we wanna hear it. – [Alfred] It is, hey listen man, maybe we can make a RIB boat Carrera. Look, let’s do it, we got
the motors, let’s do it. – Put some tubes around
that shit, man, come on. – [Alfred] Hey guys,
Anthony at Carrera, Al, Al? Thank you, bro, you
guys are the best, bro. I’m gonna get that started
just for you guys, bro. All right, guys so,
here are the injectors. We’re gonna put ’em in, they’re gonna clean in an injector machine and they’re gonna put it with ultrasound and all the good stuff. These are it. So, you guys can see more or
less what we’re working with and once we get ’em back,
it’s more precautionary, get ’em all cleaned up but
we wanna show you guys that we’re gonna try to make
this thing look good and sound good and work good. That’s why we’re doing what we’re doing. We’re here at the machine shop. (speaks in foreign language) He says, the guy at the
machine shop, he says, it’s brand new. He’s like, “Dude, it’s
brand spanking new.” So, if you look here, Rodolfo went ahead and cleaned all this up nice. Nice and clean, get
everything cleaned up perfect, get all the sand,
everything that was in it. Let me show you the other parts, this is still the computer, guys. We got another one, we got
lucky, they gave us one but it’s from a 250 as
opposed to a 300 so, we’re still gonna try this
one on and see what it does. Just see, we don’t know, we’ll see. We’re gonna start cleaning
up a little bit in here real, real detailed. Get all this sand that’s in here out. We’re using a little bit of degreaser and we’re gonna start
going and cleaning her up and getting her ready to start putting some of that stuff back. Since we, remember, we used diesel, the O-rings that were here,
we had to purchase them because with the diesel, they swelled up. The little drain hole right here, it starts getting clogged up with sand. So, you see these little
grommets right here, see this one here? This one, we just cleaned it out but I don’t know if you can tell in there. These go here and we’re
cleaning all the sand out. We removed them obviously,
because it wasn’t going through all the water
so we get all that sand out, we don’t wanna wet in here. But see, you gotta make
sure this is clean. See how they are? Oh, no, there it goes. So, what we’re gonna do
is just put the holes through there real quick. (speaks in foreign language) There you go, that’s it. See that? Perfect. Nice and clean. And like I said, those you
can put them back in there, right now, we’re cleaning
them out so, I guess, if you have this kind of engine, just make sure that you
guys go through that every now and then so it can clear out if you ever clean it or whatnot. All right so, we just went ahead and cleaned this up real
nice and clean inside here. Hey guys, listen, honestly, who would have
thought, look at this guys, who would have thought
this engine was under water for more than 10 days? Nobody would have thought that. See all this? Look. They clean this up really,
really, really good. Put some CorrosionX, made sure that we got
everything nice and cleaned up really, really good inside,
we’re letting it dry out now. Guys, listen, people will
tell you things can’t be done and I’ll tell you, the
only thing impossible is nothing, everything’s possible. Think about those people that
back in the days say well, a plane and a rocket and this that, that’s impossible. Listen, anything’s possible,
you just gotta wanna, you gotta wanna do it. And disregard the noise ’cause the noise is gonna
be pretty out there guys. Let me tell you, the noise is a lot. Everybody knows something. Do it your way, I’ll do it mine. (mimics revving engine) When we put, you see, I
just got these O-rings, these are new O-rings. We have put those new because
when we put the diesel in them the old one swelled up when
we were pickling the engine so, now what we’re doing is,
we’re putting these in there, put them brand-new and there you go. Voila, beautiful. (speaks in foreign language) We’ll just place it. We still gotta put some grease on it but just so you have a better
understanding of what’s going on. It’s almost like she’s
ready to go to the prom, what do you guys think? Hey, smash the like, smash the like if you think this is coming along, you think this thing is gonna come along. (cranking) There we go. There we go baby. To specs, make sure
everything is to specs. We got a little book here and all. Beautiful. I know guys, I know. But when it’s your first time
taking one of these apart, it’s his first time so, I’m just here spectating, talking crap, getting a lot of haters,
that’s what I’m good at. (laughs) But we’re doing it, we’re doing it. That’s what matters, we’re doing it. So, here, we just put that tensioner. So, we good. All right guys, I’m here with
Oscar from Marine Express. Check this out guys, he’s
got, hey, thank you so much. You guys have so much
stuff in stock, guys. Look, they had all the
seals for the head gasket, the piston rings. This place is on fire. Seals, the gasket. You name it, we got it. These guys have taken care of
us and we got a lot of time so, thank you so much, Oscar. Look at this guys. All right guys, so, here are the valves. They’re working the valves and here. Everything is all marked. Little by little, she’s
already all disassembled. We’ll get her cleaned up. As I said, all this will get cleaned up and then put it back on. I’ll feel a lot better about
this two years from now when I have engine issues. I’ll be like, “Well, at
least, along the way, “I know I did it right.” Our expenses could be done
given the circumstances. You see this? This is the old one, this
is the brand new one. Brand new, just off the bag. Now, we’ll start putting
’em back together, we’ll put them in and all brand new. And this can go in the trash. Seals are all new. So, already starting to get cleaner. Nice and clean. They asked me not to show the process so, I’m not gonna show what
they don’t want me to show. So, they’re working it, guys. They’re working it, little by little and we’ll go ahead and get this ready to go. So, we didn’t wanna put her in, we didn’t wanna scrape her up or nothing. We just wanted to get it cleaned up. They went one by one, we moved
the valves, put the seals and I think, I think we are in business. I’m gonna touch up this
little rusted area right here which is nothing. And guys, we’re good. We are good. Listen, it’s a two-year contract, Phil. – Sign one contract. – [Alfred] No, you got
two years, it’s a limit. – Instagram only, instagrammodels.com. – [Alfred] Stop, stop, stop. All right, I just got
this from fabulous Phil. Not Dr. Phil guys, this is fabulous Phil over here in Boat Center. – Better than Dr. Phil. – [Alfred] Can you open
it and show them please? We’re expecting this. This right here– – What we have here is our covers that unfortunately broke
but in a fortunate way, we rescued a dead motor. – [Alfred] Who needs Vanna
White bro, when they got, look at this, look at this, go ahead. Do the, who is it, Bob
Barker back in the days from The Price is Right? Pretend you’re one of those models. Phil, come on. There you go. I’m outta here. That was kinda weird, bro I gotta go. – I did it, I did it. – [Alfred] That was a little weird bro. No, listen, I don’t even want the part. Sorry bro, I don’t want it. Weird, this guy’s a weirdo. Let’s see if this works guys,
let’s see if this works, I got it here. This is the sunken one. Don’t mind my shorts, have a hole in them. All right, let’s see what goes on here. I’ll leave that on real quick. It’s really hot. (speaks in foreign language) Guys, so, I talked to him regarding this. We know that this sunk. (speaks in foreign language) You have it?
– Yeah, we have it. – [Alfred] Lemme see it please because I wanna see if it matches up good, if it matches up goo, I’m gonna get it. (speaks in foreign language) Let’s see what they got going on here. Wow. So, all you do is, what, starters and–
– Alternators. – Starters and alternators.
– Yeah. – [Alfred] And this is
the after-market, right? – Yeah, that’s one’s after-market. – [Alfred] So, I’m gonna save
a lot of money doing this guys and I don’t wanna buy a
brand OEM one right now because I don’t even know what’s gonna happen with this engine. This is gonna work so, let’s match ’em up, let’s see if it matches up perfect. This is already like. Oh my God, this is like,
almost an unboxing. Let’s see. – Now, everything is an exact.
– Exactly the same. Port right here, plug. – [Seller] There, plug, positive, ground. See, grab pulley, the same. – [Alfred] Yeah, it’s exactly the same. – [Seller] Same position. – [Alfred] What’s the
cost on this one here, the new one, obviously. – That one is 135. – [Alfred] 135. So, 135 bucks. So, I’m assuming, this OEM
one is about 500 bucks, give or take. Is that more or less right? (speaks in foreign language) If I find this new, how much would it be? More or less?
– More or less, 500. – [Alfred] 500. – [Seller] This is 500. We don’t find original. – Okay guys, so listen, we’re gonna go after-market,
135 bucks, sounds good to me. And it spins perfect, this
one doesn’t even work anymore, look at it. Okay, all right, let’s do it. So, in a nutshell, what I’m using now is, I’m just putting some degreaser on here. I got a little scotch brite
pad and a little wire brush and along the way, I’m
getting every little nook and cranny that I
see any type of oxidation. I’m getting it all cleaned up. See, the goal here is to have nothing as far as when it comes
to oxidation ’cause later, that’ll give you a problem
if you don’t do it right now. So, this is about details,
this is not a sprint. This right now is a marathon
and we wanna make sure that we get this as
cleaned up as possible. I also have some other things
that I’m not gonna need. I thought I would need
it maybe for some things, some metal rescue, which
I’ve used in the past. In this case I’m not gonna
need to use it here though, with what I’m doing here, is sufficient. This is, in a nutshell, cleaned up. Scrub everything that had to come clean. All the rust. See if you guys can see that. See that? Oh my God, this thing is
heavier than anything. I hope the camera is getting it. So now, we’re gonna go
ahead, dry her up and then, we’re off to the next
thousand other parts. (buzzing) What I have in here is 4-Stroke. I’ve poured oil. (speaks in foreign language) I’m putting it on all
the little holes first. Onto the gasket now. What we’re gonna do is, we’re
gonna take everything off, scrape all the old gasket off. And now, we’re gonna
clean this up even though we already did a
preliminary clean on this. You see all this stuff? All that has to come off so
that when we put the new gasket, it’s perfect. I know guys, I know, I
know it’s hard to visualize but it’s gonna come,
she’s gonna come alive. She’s gonna be so thankful,
she’s gonna purr pretty nice and then people are gonna
say, “That’s another engine. “I’ll bet my life on it. “I saw switcheroo in 8:14 “of the video.” Let me tell you something,
some of you guys are skeptics, I get it, I’m a skeptic 100% too. But dude, there’s some
conspiracy theorists and I guess, the problem
with that is that, you guys don’t understand
how the editing process goes. Sometimes I’ll say stuff
and I’m like, “Damn, “I don’t remember the last time “I was actually working
on that part of the video “what I said so, I’m just
gonna have to say XY and Z.” I know guys, I know. But I know there’s people
saying, “That narrator, “that guy’s annoying bro. “Just watch him clean the
damn thing and that’s it.” I get it bro, I get it. But remember, I don’t have to do this. I’m doing this because I know
there’s a couple good people they’re like, you know what, this is kind of interesting for them and I appreciate you guys, I really do. How do you guys see this? Looking not too shabby, I’m pretty good. Not too shabby. I took all these parts off,
I gotta clean those now, they’re all over here lined up. I gotta clean those one by one, make sure I get them real, real good. (buzzing) All right guys, for now, we are here and now, she is basking in some sun but
I do want you to see how pretty and sexy she looks right now. And all these, we clean inside,
they’re real, real good. This motor is brand-new guys. Just had a little sinking
problem and it’s a big problem. But we got it, we got it, we got it, that’s the most important
thing, we got it, we got it here and we’re working it. Haters are gonna hate, just remember that. Disregard the noise. If I would’ve believed that
people would have said, “He can’t get that, it’s lost forever. “This guy just went
ahead and dropped this,” listen, that was their first,
hear the haters thinking guys. I know, we’re gonna get to the build now but let me go ahead and vent. Come on, come on, you
guys wanna, vent with me. Look back at the comments, first comments when we lost the engine. For those that didn’t watch it, there’s a video that we lose an engine. Someone said, “You didn’t lose an engine, “you throw an engine down
because you guys panicked. “I saw everything.” You didn’t see everything, you saw what I wanted to show you. Having that said, we lost an engine, then the haters were like,
“You’ll never get it back. “Oh my God, these guys
are pansies,” whatever. Then I go back and I
get it and they’re like, “Oh, what a rookie, bro, what a rookie. “This guy got it back in
some old inflatable boat,” whatever so, that was the next with us. When that wasn’t enough, when actually, I get to the bottom of the ocean, we actually go ahead and bring the engine from 100 feet up to the
water, then they say, “Oh God, did you see the ascent on that? “Did you see the ascent? “It went 100 miles an hour. “It put two lionfish at risk.” So, that was their third position. Then I go ahead and take
it out of the water, we get it to a thing
and then they say well, “How many reefs did he break
bringing that to shore?” So then, that was another thing. Then we get it out, we
go ahead and we throw, take it up, put it on a stand, we actually get the water
out and they’re like, “That thing will never run. “That thing is fried, it’s dead. “Watch, mark my words.” So now, all of a sudden, we take it apart, we’re building it and now people are like, “It’ll never run right.” So now, they’re starting
to be like, “Oh wait, “maybe he might be doing this right, dude. “Babe how do I scrub my
comments on YouTube?” That’s where we’re at now. So, it’s kind of like a long video now what you’re gonna see. You’re gonna see exactly us
putting the engine together. We don’t have it done yet,
if you’re seeing this, I don’t know the end result yet. Little by little we’re doing
it, it’s something that is, it cost money and we gotta
make sure we both have time, me and Rodolfo. We’re working it, we’re gonna get this but I wanna show you the process
of what we’ve done so far. Guys, I’m Alfred Montaner,
thank you for watching, let’s continue watching this build. Disregard some of my
craziness, I was really bored, there was not much to do
while we’re doing that. I may sound stupid and say a
couple of things but whatever. Put your comments below,
all right, let’s do this. The beginning of part
three has just commenced of this rebuild. All right guys, we
haven’t been doing this, one day to the next and all that stuff. We kinda pickled it, put
CorrosionX everywhere we needed to, we flushed everything out, we did everything that we needed to do and now we’re starting to get
it and we got some challenges like here, this froze up. It is what it is. We didn’t get to it in time but we’re cleaning out the block now, making sure everything is perfect. We worked on the pistons yesterday. I wasn’t here to film it
but I’m gonna go ahead and show you those pistons
now so you can see. And then we have all the
rings that are brand new that we’re gonna put those. I’m gonna see what’s
going on with this here, see if I can fix this. If not then, whatever, it is what it is, we’ll have to get another part. (razor squeaking) You need a razor blade, just
getting everything here. We haven’t flush or clean this yet. Still, it’s got some sand but we’re gonna start
working on the block now. We actually already
worked on the pistons so, we’re doing it, we’re doing it. This is one of my
challenges right now which, so far, I put some CorrosionX and nothing. It is stuck. Whatever. Yeah, more money you’re
gonna dump into this thing for YouTube. Thing’s burning a hole my pocket. (speaks in foreign language) Rodolfo’s like “Dude, let
me work, bro, let me work.” All right so, we’re still at
it, we’re still at it guys. It’s making a scene and I do not want to spend more money that I don’t have on fixing this sunken motor. Right now, Richard Hayes and
all his minions are happy. Who’s Richard Hayes? I don’t know, some guy
that had a pretty funny comment on my channel. He literally started off with
like, “I really dislike you.” And I was like, “Wow, that’s new, “I haven’t heard that one quick.” I’ve heard people say,
douche, this guy, annoying but someone to start off, “I
really dislike you,” I was like “This guy’s special, lemme
go ahead and comment.” But whatever. So, this thing is still stuck. That’s partially my fault. I didn’t lube it when we put it back so, I’ll take the blame on that. The cleaning continues,
good old Formula 88 guys. Out of Hialeah, Florida. Degreaser, just cleaning everything up. We’ve been scraping,
scrape, scrape, scrape. All right, let me show
you guys the pistons. Here is (speaks in foreign language). See, it’s nicely cleaned. All right so now, we’re
gonna put the new rings. And we’re working. I’m letting this CorrosionX sit on here, see if I can get this moved. And we’re about to start
flushing this already here. Very, very thorough guys. We want this thing to last. Realistically, it’s
probably gonna go ahead and be a nightmare but
hey, it makes good YouTube. Well, what do we have here Becky? What, what, no. It didn’t move, did it? Yes, it did. Why? Because we don’t quit on this. We’re not gonna quit on you guy, relax. All right so now, I gotta do
some major, major fixing here. Everything has been degreased. We just got this unstuck so, that’s nice. But I don’t know . I gotta see if it’s worth it. If it makes sense to swap
it out, I’ll swap it out. We’ll see. I think short-term, the good thing is, I’m gonna know everything
that should’ve been changed and if I didn’t change it now, I’ll least know where
to start after the fact. I wanna just get this thing going. Pistons can make her purr
and we get some oil in her and then everything will be
a little bit, bit more time. All right guys so, that’s it, we’re about to put this block together , we’re gonna start putting
together so, stay tuned we’re gonna start assembling this bad boy. (buzzing) Check it out. Everything’s dried up. We’re making sure we’re
getting any of that residue, once we dried it up. Any of that little bit of
rust that’s still on there, we’re just polishing it out a little bit. Damn, I gotta stop saying all right, man. That guy’s gonna hijack me, beat me up on my comment section. Friends, I’m gonna not
say all right anymore, I’m gonna say friends, friends, yeah, kinda looks like a porno action there. (laughs) All right guys, listen, 4-Stroke oil is being
put on there right now, that’s what he’s putting on there, he’s just lubing it up on the cylinders. See that? Put on the comments section,
fisting the Mercury Verado. (laughs) Oh, that is too funny. You guys don’t get my humor,
(laughing) it’s crazy. Oh my goodness but
she’s coming along guys. We’re getting there. Look at the pistons. Tryna do this so he don’t scream at me, ’cause I’m in his way. Everything is nice and clean. See back here, everything
has been cleaned up really, really good. It’s a process guys. Listen, I think, like
I’ve told some people on my comment section, I
could live knowing I failed but I won’t be able to
live with the, what if? And I’ll give you guys that
advice too from just experience. I’d rather fail. I think failure is a part
of success but I think, I know for a fact, if
I wouldn’t have tried at least tryna rehab this
engine and get it going, I would’ve said, “What if I would’ve got,” I can’t live with that. But we’re getting there. Alfred, stop picking your boogers. But that’s cool gentlemen. We are doing everything like they say. Bought a book. See this here? Maybe you don’t, I don’t
know if you can see it. See that? Well, we don’t know, we’ll
find out what this Mercury service manual. We’re almost ready to
put it together guys, we’re almost there. We’re reading a couple of
things that we didn’t know and not really, none of this stuff but you get the point bro,
where the bookmark is, come on, stop acting crazy bro, just sit down and watch. Can’t believe some of you guys
are actually taking a dump watching this video, that’s disgusting. I’m gonna see if we can, guys, don’t do this at home. All right, essentially,
this is what the cost is to get an Uber to bring us the part. I’m not getting Uber Pool because, confirm pickup, yes. They’re gonna go to Marine Express, guy. I’ll call you now, I’ll
tell you what your job is. Let me see, finding an Uber. (phone ringing) That’s not her real
number of people, relax. It’s an Uber number so,
disregard the number. – Hello.
– It’s alfred, the passenger. – Hi, alfred.
– Good, how are you? – All right.
– Good, good, listen, I got an easy ride for you. I’m not gonna be at the location that I’m putting the address to, it’s a actually a marine store that I’m trying to get a part that I need delivered to my location. Look at this guy making a scene
out here, hold on a second. – [Uber Driver] For the
part, I’m walking in now. – [Alfred] Okay, well,
I’ll just stay on the phone while you’re there, might as well. – [Uber Driver] Okay, all right. Hi. I’m looking for Ozzy. Okay, bye. Ozzy? I’m picking up a part for Alfred. – The Uber driver.
– Okay, he got it. – [Alfred] He’s got it? – [Uber Driver] Right, (chuckles). – [Alfred] All right. – [Uber Driver] Okay, thank you. – [Alfred] All right so,
the part is on the way. You can begin that
trip, thank you so much. – [Uber Driver] You’re welcome. – [Alfred] You have just
saved me a ton of time. – [Uber Driver] Okay. – [Alfred] And if you
wanna get five stars, make sure that my part is happy. Put the seat belt on my part. (laughs) – [Uber Driver] I get five stars but I don’t get anything less that five. – [Alfred] You’ll get a five star, you guys at Uber are awesome, guys. That’s why, Uber everything. All right, thank you. (buzzing) Supposedly, my part is here. I have a YouTube channel,
don’t worry about me but thank you so much for doing this, I’m gonna tip you guys now. Thank you, so, I didn’t put you on, you didn’t see your face. – Thank you.
– Thank you though so much. My part is here. Guys, that’s it. It’s on here. Uber for the win, baby. Understandably, they don’t wanna do that or wanna be shown on camera
because, I don’t know, maybe they think they can’t do that. I’ve done it hundreds of times. (speaks in foreign language) Bam. That’s how you save some time people. Now, let me close this door. Yeah, let me close this door
and we’re gonna have lunch. And I don’t even have to waste any time. We’re in the money. All right, let’s start
building this stuff up, let’s start putting this together guys. If I don’t wake up one morning, it’s because of that crap
right there, so addicting. I’m tired of saying all right. I feel like Richard Hayes is just listening to everything I say. All right, all right, I can’t help it. That brain-dead thing in me. So, let’s look at the
ultra grey from Permatex. We couldn’t get the three
bond 17 something part number but whatever. We’ve used this in the past. We’re confident it’s gonna work. Bash me in the comments below,
I don’t care, doesn’t matter. So, that’s what we’re gonna
use for the head gasket now. It’s a gasket maker guys. Ultra grey, advanced formula, maximum torque gasket
maker, that’s what it says. We’re looking at all
the specs and everything they’re asking us to do with. Sometimes you gotta work with what you got and this is one of those situations, God, that coffee looks
incredible, look at that. We’re gonna put the
rings now on the pistons to specs, like they say, to specs. So, it’s time to go to
school guys, I don’t know. I’m sure we all have
funny stories in school. I remember one when I was in school. Where you randomly there just
minding your own business and your mind starts wandering and your 13 year old or 12
year old puberty kicks in and then the teacher says, “Alfred, come do this on the
board,” and you’re like “God. “Ms. Rodriguez, I’ll take the zero, “I can’t stand up right
now, this is a problem. “I’m 13 in puberty.” The unboxing part number. All right, let’s do this. Let me see if you guys
can a good look at that. See that? All right guys, just so
you guys see something ’cause I just noticed something
and I just wanna correct it, it’s something that
might happen to somebody. There you go. You see that little T
right there where it says, right here where it says to T, now look in the manual. It says here, the top
piston compression ring must be installed with the T side up, spread the rings just enough
to slip over the piston. You see that? So, you guys can say that
all those Cubans from Hialeah are just dumb, we know how to read. We went to an American school system. And if we’re in Hialeah and
we all have cars and machetes. There you go. So, the T on the very last ring
guys, on the top side ring. So, every day you learn something new, here on the Cuban Network for
(speaks in foreign language). You see that right there? And it’ll kinda tell
you where to and that’s, and then also there’s
a note here that says, ensure that the oil ring spacer gap is properly oriented on the piston. The oil ring spacer cannot be rotated after the bottom and top
oil rings are installed. Who says these Cubans don’t
know how to read, bro? (sighs) Sixth grade education and I’m doing this, I’m just kidding people, I
got more than ninth grade, I’m not gonna say anything
above that, maybe 10th. All right, I went to night
school, leave me alone. You guys know you watch
that show, Night School. They’re all done. So, all the piston rings are on. Let’s go check out that crankshaft, see if we start making a scene guys. We’re getting there, we’re getting there. A block has dried up already. I want you to see it. Looks beautiful. Fantastic, piece of amazingness. See that? It’s got a little 4-Stroke,
oil in the cylinders. It’s not better than new but
it’s gonna be better, better, better, better, better than new. I’m just kidding guys. I just wanna rile up my haters. Where’s that other part
that I needed to find. There’s a part here
somewhere I gotta find. All right, let’s start putting this on. It’s dried-up, she’s ready. She ain’t gonna bask in no sun anymore. So, here is product that we’re using on this chain and the product is called Metal Rescue. The chain obviously was a
little oxidized with some rust and stuff like that but it
cleans it up really, really good, stuff does a good job. I always like to rinse
everything with water. Metal Rescue is non-acidic so, it’s a good product. So, we’re just getting it
now, we’re just rinsing it. I always like to rinse
everything off of something and then what I’ll do
now is, I’ll dry it out, we’ll blow it out and
then we’ll oil her up and she should be fine. See all that rust came off completely. See that? Beautiful. (buzzing) Look how new it looks. Beautiful. See that? (buzzing) You guys ever heard that
song from Johnny Cash? ♪ One piece at a time ♪ You gotta look it up. “One Piece at a Time” from Johnny Cash. I’d put it on here but then, YouTube won’t go ahead and

wanna have any moisture or anything, that’s why we
dried them up real good, we cleaned them up real good. Ready for amazingness. Just before we close her up, I just, I wanna show you guys
’cause we’re pretty proud of the job that we’ve done. See that? We were pretty proud of this. I’m sure we’ll mess it up now but at least getting to this point, we’re pretty proud of this part. And we got a little book,
we’ve been going to school, we got a little Mercury handbook, brought to us by the people at Suzuki because I have not received a
call from anyone from Mercury but it’s all right, we
don’t need their help and neither do you. What you need is YouTube

we’re getting there. Oh my God, I hear purring
in my head right now. Maybe it’s my schizophrenia
or maybe I’m just visualizing the future,
all right, let’s do this. This is awesome. Every day you learn something new guys. You learn that you can have
a garbage can and a fan two feet from each other. That’s just 4-Stroke oil. You have to have a Coleman
cooler to do this guys and some old shirts so it
just soaks it up there. I wouldn’t recommend this with
a Yeti, it’s too expensive. (speaks in foreign language) A little bit more in there and that’s it, we’ll have all the pistons in. Wow. Man, let me tell you, I don’t obviously do none of this stuff, my
thing is inflatable boats but every time I see Rodolfo work, and it’s funny because
his backdrop is basically, came from Cuba, wanted to work hard, got an opportunity at a well-known shop down here in South Florida
and he began from the bottom and he worked himself up
to learning all this stuff, all because he wanted to work. And that’s why I always tell people, there’s no substitute for experience and there’s no substitute for work. Sometimes people say, “Oh, how
are you gonna get that guy?” Listen, this guy’s hands
have passed through hundreds and hundreds
and hundreds of motors. So, I think that’s enough,
I think that’s more of a important factor for me
than a piece of paper that says you’re qualified to work. I would pick experience
a hundred times over. And now the block just
breaks me and he messes up. Damn, I knew it, I knew it, on
cue, on cue, it just happens. It never fails. I always like to lighten
up the moment guys, you guys like that stuff

made a thousand memories, the engine has done his or her work, we don’t know what she is yet, we still have to identify her or him. But, that’s life man,
I’m telling you guys. Disregard the noise,
you’re gonna have people all along the way and sometimes, they don’t even realize it, sometimes people don’t even
realize they’re haters. And then they wonder and question why people don’t wanna be around them. That negativity, it spreads,
stay away from that. Be optimistic, if you fail,
that’s fine, whatever, it is what it is. But I’m enjoying this process. Guys, remember we took
it to the machine shop. Now, we’re just gonna go

we didn’t clean ourselves and look how bad it looks. This is when we took
it to the machine shop. Listen. (buzzing) I’m not happy with the

do this stuff especially when we paid somebody to do all this. It’s better than what it was but all this should have been cleaned up. You don’t feel it, they might say, “Well, “it doesn’t matter,” but
look, it does matter. It’s a difference. The difference is what you don’t see. So yeah, it’s kinda frustrating. See that? And everything else has been, actually, we can’t show it now but
everything else is just perfect. And then we show this. I don’t know, looks like it’s
got syphilis or something. What happened to her? But whatever. We’re giving here some pass
that’ll get her cleaned up and make it look at least reasonable without, ’cause we’re not gonna degrease and scrub and anything at this point, we’re gonna put more water on

it and be like, “Hey, look.” I should’ve mentioned it at the time, I thought it’s not gonna be a big deal but once we started cleaning

an additional 90 degrees. I guess, 90 degrees it is. Torqued up all the way to
that last 90-degree turn. Pistons on, rings on, crankshaft on. I say, so far we have accomplished a lot. Everything is cleaned up

a little bit of oil. Got a lot of torquing guys here, this is, it’s gonna be interesting, I’ll tell you. This little Coleman cooler
has earned my respect and I think I’m gonna get one ’cause it’s holding this block like a G. Here we need to do three
according to the book and on the cover, it says it here. So, we have to do three torques. Right now we’re just putting
it on, we’re putting them all. Actually, let me see the positioning that this needs to be torqued to. Let me check this out. Oh God, let’s see what we got here. Let’s see what we got. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven. Guys, so 20 pounds. Come on, focus, I know it’s dark. That’s four. (speaks in foreign language) Four. And then after this, we have
to do 40.5 pounds of torque and then we have to do 270
degrees after second torque. This is five. Oh look, they’re actually numbered. So, it’s even easier,
you don’t even need this. It’s actually numbered on here. I didn’t even see that. You see, one, two. All right good, so we
don’t even need this. Even better, I don’t have
to be someone’s do-boy. So, 20 pounds. Come on, focus, I know it’s dark. That’s four, (speaks in foreign language). Four and then after this, we have to do 40.5 pounds of torque and
then we have to do 270 degrees after second torque. This is five. Oh look, they’re actually numbered. So, it’s even easier,
you don’t even need this. It’s actually numbered on here. I didn’t even see that. You see, one, two. All right good, so we
don’t even need this. Even better, I don’t have
to be someone’s do-boy. You have to do it in this order, guys. You have to, there’s no if, ands or buts, it has to be done to specs ’cause that’s the word of the day. You know what, go watch this video twice,
make sure you watch the ad in the beginning of the video and take a shot every time
you hear the word specs. And then send me a hateful comment and it’s gonna make me
feel good in the morning. But having that said, I think
we’re done for the day guys. Next video, you guys
should see this bad boy on and hopefully, we can get her started. Thanks for watching. Part four will be next and don’t forget to
watch the initial video of the impact of what happened,
if you haven’t seen that. There’s a whole playlist, I’m
gonna try to link it up above. All right guys, thank you so much. Rodolfo. (speaks in foreign language) We’re outta here, we’re
done, we’re done for the day, we’ll catch you guys next one. I know, I know, it’s kinda
boring to watch this but you might learn something. We’re outta here. Wow, talk about treasure hunting. (speaks in foreign language) Scary shit, bro. Wow, scary shit. We begin. Guys, I can’t stress enough how
good this Coleman cooler is. That’s not a paid
sponsorship by any means. The Coleman cooler for the win, baby. There she is. The beginning of part
four of this restoration, hopefully, hopefully,
if this doesn’t take up six years of content, we
might have this started by the end of this video,
we’ll see, I don’t know. I can’t make no promises
’cause I don’t know, I know exactly what you know right now. Let’s do this, she looks so pretty. (speaks in foreign language) We’re starting to put all
the other parts together. Actually, more than the
build of this engine, this is a two-part series
on why get a Coleman cooler because we’re gonna put the whole engine on this poor cooler, bro. I know, I know, I know, guys, relax. At some point, we’re gonna do this right. That’s not how it goes guys,
he’s just putting it on there ’cause he wants to get
this in there, relax. Take a deep breath, we’ll do this now. Remember, all this was also cleaned out really, really good guys, real thorough. You need one of these guys,
mandatory to restore this. It’s perfect. Actually you know what, we
should put some Metal Rescue on that stuff later so you
guys gonna check that out too, see how that product works. I don’t know, let’s see how I feel. We’re putting her together, guys. I missed you, I really did. Right now, you gotta make sure none of these are contaminated, all the ones that have
that little blue Loctite. You can’t have any oil
on those things, at all. If you look here, see that
it also is telling us, right there, the torque, lemme
see if I can get in there without messing up the shot, there you go. See that right there? So, it’s interesting
’cause it has, on one side you do one torque and on the
other side, you do another, there’s a little arrow showing us exactly what we need to do. Remember this part here. I’m not gonna trust it for now but for the purpose of just
tryna get this thing going, we’re gonna know. I already along the way, I’ve seen things that I’m gonna change. But right now, we just
wanna get it all together and see if we can make
it go (mimics revving). So, let’s start torquing this up and I don’t have to do more today because people think I’m not
doing absolutely nothing. So, I’m gonna have to be on video which is really not about me, that’s why I don’t care to
be on camera, I don’t need to when I focus on boats and all that stuff, I don’t need to be in the video and I don’t really give a crap. I’m tryna focus on the task,
on the product depending on what’s there, more than me. Besides, I’m overweight and fat, have you guys heard me breathe (gasps)? It’s just really, I got a good
mic, I really got a good mic. There’s some guy that put
that on the comment section, I was like, “Dude, what
do you expect, bro? “I’m fat and I got an
accent like 20 years ago.” Houston we have a problem. What’s goin on here, dude? What does this look like? This doesn’t look right. Oh my God. Did this not sit right,
what’s going on here, dude? I’m gonna have to take this
all apart after I just put it; lemme check and see what’s going on here. So, I had to take it back
apart because obviously. But as you see here, it’s nothing. You know what, bring me the
little, trusty handbook, bro. See here, that? It comes out so, it would’ve been fine. That’s just there but whatever, I’d rather be safe than sorry
so I’m working double now. So, it’s fine, let’s do it again. Just so you guys can see the number two and the three are on
the underside of this. There’s one up top, we got two, this is how we’re gonna have
to do ’em in order to torque. Learn, I’m not gonna be
every day by your side, bro. First time doing this,
but I’m reading a book. To specs. Just remember, the torque
is a little different. Remember, this arrow
okay is 10 plus two Nm and the other one is seven plus one. I got ’em all ready to go. Remember, there’s two bolts right here. The bolts are a little
shorter on these two. So, it’s not gonna be the
same ones you’re using here. So, these are a little bit shorter. Let’s go take this off
of the trusty Cajena. Cajena, Caja China, I’m sorry. Cajena, what the hell
was I, Caja China guys, that’s the kinda roaster. Cuban people do a lot of pig
roasting and stuff like that especially in parties
and the 24th of December, which is what we call Nochebuena. (speaks in foreign language) Injector time. So, we don’t wanna get any water in here but we also do wanna get any sand or anything that’s accumulated in here. I already got most of it out, it had a bunch of sand in there. I don’t think it’s because of
the accident or when it fell, I think just, with time, that stuff gets in
there so, I’m gonna flush it, I’m gonna put just plain water in here, try to flush that out and
again, kinda tap it a little bit and see what comes outta here. I don’t know, no, that
didn’t come outta here. No. I don’t know what the hell
it was but it’s kinda nasty. All right, let’s do this. (nozzle hissing) Guys, we’re putting
some Marine grease here. Starting to, lemme get this part here. We got some parts coming on. (buzzing) About time. Compressor’s making a scene. He’s gonna put a little bit more grease. At this point guys, we
have no screws left over. So, it’s looking good so far. If we have a couple screws
missing, I’m sorry or extra, you’ll never know about it. But honestly, we haven’t. But you still won’t know about it. Well, maybe you will, who knows? We’ll see how funny I feel like doing it. I gotta check if we gotta
torque that right now. I hope it’s open. Remember, the word of the
day, last video was, to specs. Now, we gotta find a
word of the day for now. I don’t know a lot but, I think this Coleman cooler
is about to collapse. I think we should do like a mission, then we should have a bunch
of beers in there to celebrate but to get to the beers, you have to pick up the block by yourself. Wow, that’d be good. I don’t know, what do you guys think. Smash the like if we should pull a beer out of that Coleman cooler. It probably got some
ice in there too with, I don’t know, we’ll see. All this I cleaned it up. Actually, you know what,
I gotta get me a filter, I’ll get a new filter yet for that but that’s whatever, that’s nothing. The trusted little Mercury
book is saying 23 pounds of torque. (sighs) We have right here, here’s our part. There’s one, two, three
that are, what is that, B, integrated oil module screws M10 by 85 and there’s one lower
one which is the 105. And it says up here, 23. See that, friends? My nails already got dirty. The torque time. There he goes, to specs, guys. You see sometimes he’ll
click it more than once and you hold it there just to make sure the screw’s not tryna, I’m sorry, the bolt is not tryna come back. That’s why he’s double-checking that, I know some people are like, “You only need to click it once.” Blah, blah, blah. I’m not gonna go ahead
and tell him anything before he slaps me across
the head and tell me, “Who are you bro? “You know absolutely nothing.” We need to install, what else do we need? Where’s the other part,
I gotta bring it back. I got the spark plugs
already for this too. So, that’s good, I got new spark plugs. He’s also, will have to get
these now at that Boat Center. We got those parts over
there with fabulous Phil and Sean and Will. This part’s gone. 100%, that needs to be changed. That was probably in the impact. They call it in the book,
the pressure sensor, that’s what it’s known as. Lemme see that a little. Definitely that took a spill. I’m gonna have to get this
part also as well ’cause this is the crankshaft pressure sensor. This too. See this. We’ll get those new. Even though, who knows,
maybe this one might be fine. This is a problem now guys. This is becoming a problem. – That thing is called
the Schrader valve, $98. The reason why, it’s letting
the air out of you right now. (laughs) – [Phil] Schrader, it’s German, Schrader. Schrader valve. – This was $98.
– It releases the pressure of your wallet. – [Alfred] How much was this
part right here, this one, another 54, another 98? – So far, nothing over a thousand so, we’re talking about
a pretty economical– – [Alfred] Bro, I swear,
if this motor doesn’t run, I’m gonna go ahead and make another video of me throwing it back to the
same spot, I got the numbers. – I got the numbers. – [Alfred] So, the
supercharger’s going on now. I think I’m gonna actually put a hashtag on like a CrossFit
magazine like on Instagram because this cooler is really,
really doing a good job. You know how those people put
the weight over their head. That little supercharger.
(speaks in foreign language) Those things are hot. Supercharger baby, it’s coming on. It had, something there, look,
like a little sleeve so it can just fall into so you don’t kill yourself. Thing’s pretty heavy. But there’s no task this
little Coleman cooler can’t come through. Look at this, look at this. This guy’s been to war. This thing won’t die. (speaks in foreign language) He’s telling me, he goes, “Bro, you’re making fun
of my stuff,” I go “No.” I’m gonna jack that stuff, I’mma jack it. When he’s not looking,
I’m gonna come in here and take that Coleman cooler. Best thing back here. wow guys, look how much
that’s already gone on. There’s gonna be a point
that we’re gonna have to get a cherry picker and
start putting it on here so, we’ll move the stand over here. There it is, the supercharger, which is this bolt here, nine. It’s asking bolt torque. We’re putting the injectors on the rail. Remember, we took these injectors to get professionally cleaned so we completely had ’em
cleaned professionally, somebody that we use down here locally. He has a machine and all
that good ultrasound stuff and all that good stuff. Now, we’re putting these on. See, we got the other four,
where we’re gonna put on now, on the rail; everything
on the rail’s fine. Injectors look good. I don’t think we’re gonna have any issues or problems with that. Little by little. Rodolfo’s like a lesson, bro. I got a lot of stuff to do. He’s doing some other stuff,
he’s doing a lorry right now. It’s kind of like an emergency
job and stuff like that. He’s just basically
given me the blueprints. “Hey, I want it done
like this, like that.” I’m doing it. It’s gotta fit in. I had to put a little bit
of grease on there and now, actually, I don’t think I’m
gonna be able to do this holding this heavy camera but
you guys get the gist of it, I’m gonna do the rest, put this on there. I got the screws right here
that I put ’em here for now and we should have this rail up and going in a couple of minutes. See if I can capture this. There’s a little, kinda like
a little small rail right here that if you push the injector in too much, it’s not gonna slide in. So, if you don’t capture that rail, let me see if I pull this out. You see that? I don’t know if I can
get it with this lens. Yeah, probably not but it has
to slide in there, if not, you won’t be able to get it in. You won’t be able to get this part in. So, if you see that it’s not going in, it’s because you gotta
get it into that little, it’s like a little groove
that it has to go in. That’s your tip for the day. All five, I’m sorry, all six injectors are already installed. If you look here, I put a
little bit of grease because these injectors, the salt water
will eat ’em up with time. Especially like on the
OptiMaxs and stuff like that, you’ll see these go bad. But they’re on nice and clean. Remember guys, when you install this, there’s a little groove
on these injectors. If not, this won’t come in. Off to the next step, let’s do this. All right, I just put the rail here. It has three bolts, one, two and three. And this goes nicely snug in here. You gotta push it down and
you’ll see it’ll line up nice and now, I’m just gonna
tighten these bolts and our rail is on and
our injectors are on. We’re getting there,
guys, little by little. I’m telling you this Caja China is like, you know how sometimes like
pharmaceutical companies they give you. (speaks in foreign language) Sometimes, like a pharmaceutical company will go ahead and make a,
they’ll make some types of drugs so you can go ahead and
lower your cholesterol and then all of a sudden
you have a hard-on all day. That’s exactly what’s happening
here with this Caja China. We’re starting to realize that, it can be used for multiple things. But whatever, we’re doing it. We’re working with what we got. Permatex. Dielectric grease. It’s all here, everywhere in here. Boom, boom, boom. Dielectric grease time, guys. Let’s do it. I’m not gonna be able to do both but at least, I’m telling
you what’s going on. Just a little bit. Remember, these were
professionally cleaned so, we should be good but I’m
just gonna have some in there, just a tid. (buzzing) (speaks in foreign language) Moveable table. Even for your Winboat,
it’s like 55 bucks at BJ’s. Whatever. Just know when you’re 400
pounds and you sit on a cooler and you’re still not breaking stuff, getting embarrassed at
the beach, this is why. You saw here first. No, there’s not a link
in the description below, relax guys. (speaks in foreign language) She’s finally off, guys,
she’s finally off the cooler. (speaks in foreign language) Now, we’re gonna get those covers ’cause we bought those covers new. Bolt-on broke off. (speaks in foreign language) Just my luck. The freaking, the motor survives 100 feet of water and it just falls here
and cracks to pieces. Good lord. I know guys, I know. It looks bad but it’s not that bad. I know it looks bad, trust me, I know. But every now and then you gotta do stuff to get people riled up. A little bit of Marine grease on the cap. Let’s get it on. Bam, bam. My God, I didn’t think
I would see the day. Bam. Warning, warning, not to specs. We have a clamp that
didn’t make it through the, through the beat-down this thing got so, we’re putting one of the
old-school clamps that we have. So, you don’t know, every now and then we have to go non-OEM. (speaks in foreign language) So, there’s seven screws here. Two, four, six, seven. These three, these seven
right here, we need this tool. Ow, oh my God, these things are on fire. (speaks in foreign language) It’s on fire, dude. That 90-degree weather. Lemme get over here just in case my baby decides to fall. (speaks in foreign language) So scared it’s gonna fall off. (speaks in foreign language) The rail’s on where all the injectors are, everything was cleaned out. I’m gonna put a little bit
of dielectric grease in here now as well. Get some in there, I
didn’t get to put in there. (phone ringing) Hello. – [Paul] Hello, how you doing’ today, sir? – [Alfred] Good, how are you? – [Paul] Not bad. I came across your videos on YouTube and I see you are tryna do a restoration, like I guess, dinghies? – [Alfred] Yeah. – [Paul] I just had a quick
question, I know you probably have to see the actual boat
but I got test the Walker Bay, black bottom boat. – [Alfred] Okay, is it an inflatable? – [Paul] Yeah, it’s inflatable. I was just wondering, typically,
how much do you charge to retool it? – [Alfred] Like a 10-footer,
does it have a console? – [Paul] No, it don’t have a console. – [Alfred] It doesn’t have a console? The Hypalon is pretty expensive, man. It might make sense to buy a
new one, to be honest with you. But it’s probably about the
same price, more or less. The only thing is, if
you wanted to upgrade to like an 866 Hypalon, it
might make more sense for you. – [Paul] How much is that, how much– – [Alfred] Probably
around 3,500, 3,600 bucks for that size boat. – [Paul] Oh, okay, all right. Do you, ’cause I see you also
buy a boat on one the video, I see you was trying to sell it to a guy, there at a gas station. – [Alfred] Yeah, no, but I
just do that messing around. I kinda like play around
with people but yeah, look, if it’s a good price, I’ll
buy ’em but I get ’em for, basically, nothing when I get ’em. – [Paul] But that was
what I was gonna ask you, how much do you normally sell
’em ’cause I know you probably just get ’em to flip ’em, right? – [Alfred] Yeah, yeah, yeah. I’m doing a lot just for
the content for the channel. But look, I think, is it
completely flat or anything or no? – [Paul] Yeah, it’s flat. – [Alfred] And do you
know if it has a big leak? What’s the issue? – [Paul] The guy who I
brought it from said, it gotta be patched,
patched here and there. I think, mainly where you inflate it, where you put the air in. – [Alfred] Where are you located? – [Paul] Right now, I’m
located at Fort Myers but the boat is at my
sister’s house in Miramar. – [Alfred] Look, why
don’t you just tell ’em to bring it over to the shop in Hialeah, we’ll take a look at it,
just bring it to the shop, we’ll take a look at it. – [Paul] Okay. Yeah, that’s what I was thinking. – [Alfred] Yeah, just
bring it to the shop. If they’re in Miramar, that’s
not far from us, that’s like, not even half an hour. – [Paul] Yeah, yeah. But just in case, if like say, if we have to go down that road where we have to replace the whole tubes, do you have any boats that
are available for sale? – [Alfred] Yeah, we’ll have
some, if you wanna check out, we’ll have some there. – [Paul] How much do you normally sell, ’cause I like the Center
Console, I like the Nautica. – [Alfred] I got like seven, eight boats so, if you wanna take a look
at, we could build it up. I try to take care of
people as much as possible especially people that
call through the channel. So, if got a couple, I got a couple boats that
I already have in mind but stop by with yours
so we can check it out and then we can go from there. – [Paul] Okay, cool. – [Alfred] What’s your name? – [Paul] My name is Paul. – [Alfred] All right Paul,
well listen, you got my number, just give me a call, once you guys are gonna
pass by with the boat and we’ll take a look
at it and from there, you can see some of the boats
that we have at the shop. – [Paul] Okay, cool, cool. – [Alfred] All right Paul, take care man, thanks for watching, bro. – [Paul] All right, no problem. – [Alfred] All right, bye. Guys, I didn’t want you guys to miss that, but business is business,
sorry about that. All right, it’s on. I just kicked the torque. That could’ve been a
nightmare right there. This little torque which comes right here. See what’s going in, remember,
we swapped that one out new. So, that’s a new one. (speaks in foreign language) Here is what’s holding, you see
that little lip right there? Just that much before
a catastrophe happens. You what guys, one thing you’ll definitely learn about my channel is that
no one, absolutely no one, no corporation, nobody ever will own my thinking on this channel and I think that should be
refreshing for a lot of you. ‘Cause if you see something in a product and you will see products
but if you see a product it’s because either they’ve sent it to me and I wanna try it or they
send it to me and I like it and I’ll tell you I like it, if I do. That’s a refreshing thing, a
refreshing way to do business. I see it a lot of times
when people go ahead and get commitments
and stuck with products they don’t believe and they’re
just tryna sell a product and that’s not cool and
then you try to go ahead and use the product as
somebody who trusts that person and you’re like, “Dude, this sucks,” and nothing is worse than that. All right, I’m not gonna
record anymore because this thing’s getting a little shaky and I’m not liking this. Here’s a little trick guys. So, we got the old seal
and we’re using that to push in the new one. See that? Voila, there you go. I had to take the supercharger back a little bit so, I
took it off the specs. There you go. (speaks in foreign language) Specs, baby. Here are the parts that
we got from Boat Center. Remember these? Bam. Bam. Good lord. Brand new, 2016 Verado, perfectly tuned. Never had issues. No signs of any ware. Brand new, not even broken-in. I’m just kidding guys, hey, relax, bro, I’m not gonna do nothing,
I’m not gonna sell this. You’d be surprised what
I’m gonna do with this. All right, we’re doing it,
we’re doing it, that’s it. We got this one here and
we got the other one. All right, I’m getting screamed at guys, I’m getting screamed at. (speaks in foreign language) There’s another part I forgot
to talk to you guys about. You guys need an outdoor cooker. This thing is especially designed. Do you see the ergonomics here? Look at this, boom, boom,
boom, you’re cleaning it. Everything is good but dude,
it’s just, you see that? It doesn’t even let it come out easy so, it’s safe, it can’t
come back to your face, break your nose, you don’t need to wear your
safety mask, gear, nothing. I don’t know where you can get this guys, this is an old one. We’ve been using this for years. Between your Coleman
cooler, your Caja China and this outdoor cooker,
I think you guys are, this step close to opening up a shop. (hose hissing) First cap back on. We put in the other cap now. (buzzing) So, it’s on. I don’t know guys. Comment below if there’s
a tool for this because we have to do it manually. We kinda thought that it should
be easier than what it was. So, comment below if you guys know if there’s a special tool for these. Hoses on. Goes from here. (speaks in foreign language) This is right here, it’s gonna go there. But this hose, see that, it’s kinda messed up here. When it actually broke, that area, it kinda broke the hose too so, I’m gonna get this hose, I’m gonna swap it out,
I’m gonna put a new one. All right so, I thought I cleaned this and I just started looking at it more and I see that there’s still sand in here, especially back here. You see that kinda like, sand on the other side of this. So, I’m gonna have to
re-flood this a couple times and clean it and dry it
and clean it and dry it. The part’s good, it got a
little bit of rash here, one of those sensors were
messed up but nothing too, that hose right there,
I have to swap it out. I think this would be the last
thing that I do for the day. Here we have a, a nightmare scenario if we don’t catch it. Look at this guys. It had sand all inside here. (speaks in foreign language) I gotta figure out if I gotta buy this whole part which I’m not really
looking forward to it. But if I can just glue this back on, I won’t even know what glue to use. But there’s sand, there’s debris, there’s, anything that can just
ruin a motor is in there. So, the Mercury engineers
hopefully, hopefully, they watch this video
and not just like it, hopefully, they go ahead
and just re-engineer this so they can make these Verado sing for me. You know what I’m saying? (speaks in foreign language) Yeah, that’s a huge problem. Huge, huge problem. (speaks in foreign language) That woulda been a huge problem. I’m just gonna have to get this part. Hopefully, maybe I can
find a used one somewhere. I’ll get on Craigslist offer up, I’ll see if somebody
has some parts for this, see if I can find a new
one or a good used one. (speaks in foreign language) See that, see that guys? Look at that. See. That would’ve been the destruction of Black Betty’s engine. All right friends, here’s where we’re at, obviously. We’re on eggshells
leaving this like this but it is what it is. She survived this far and 100-foot drop, tryna land on some lionfish
then, it is what it is. All right so, I’m gonna see if I can
get this whole part here. This doesn’t matter right here, you see. It’s great, we gotta get this little hose. I gotta get this sensor. I’m just gonna swap out
all these sensors here which are the ones that are right here. This one here too. So, this one, this, this, swap ’em all out, might as well. Probably get this one out here too. Just to get ’em out of the way. All right guys, I think we got it. I think we got it. The only thing, he doesn’t
have this right here, I’m tryna get that too. They want 110 bucks for that just, yeah, for a hose, 110 bucks. (speaks in foreign language) There we go. This is what we took off ’cause
there’s sand all over it. I think it’s gonna work out guys, I think it’s gonna work out. (speaks in foreign language) That’s it, we got it guys, 60 bucks. We got this part and we got
a sensor, that’s good too. Hey guys. (speaks in foreign language) He says he saw the video
online and I’m like, yeah, I had been thinking, he
saw the video and stuff. – Yeah, I saw the video online. – Isn’t that crazy? – And I’m also following the video. – Isn’t that crazy guys? Look, what a small world, huh? Look at him, look guys. He hooked it up, 60 bucks and now, we’re one step closer to get
that Verado in the water. He sent the picture to his
friends right now, it happens man they’re like, “Oh shit, this guy’s the guy “who took it out of the water.” So, I’ll tell you, this
is a community event, bro, everybody wants to see this motor go. Mercury, I don’t know where you at bro. Why aren’t you hitting me up Mercury, where you at Mercury? (chuckles) So, let’s do an initial assessment. So, in the impact, oh
actually, not the impact but at some point I
guess, bringing it back, this had gotten damage. You see right here? We lost this sensor
which I already got new, I already got hit up if you guys remember when I went up to Boat Center, I got these parts new. They’re very expensive, a
lot of the sensors on this. So, I got a lot of the sensors new. Now, this is the one
that we had to, remember, we had to take this off from
here because on the back of it, it had sand and that’s a huge problem. Sand gets into that, you’re done. This one is all cleaned up. I’m thinking that maybe these
are better than these here. Now and if you notice, you
can’t really tell there but if you look here, you
can see a little bit of rust. You don’t see much rust, it’s just dirty so what I wanna do is, I’m
gonna get some Formula 88, I’m gonna clean this, not on my, I’m gonna do it in the garbage can because my wife will kill
me if I do it on this table even though this table needs replacing. Just getting it really
nice and cleaned up. Rodolfo said that I won’t find it. He said no and he kinda had a point because I went to some guy today and he had a dead motor but
he didn’t wanna give it up because he’s like, “No, I
don’t wanna part it out, “blah, blah, blah, I’ll save
the whole motor, I was like, “Dude, that defeats the whole purpose “of what I’m tryna do here.” Let that degreaser eat all that oil so we can get it nice
and cleaned up and then, we’ll go ahead and go back to Rodolfo’s. Actually, it’s really gonna be tomorrow but I’m gonna make it
seem like it’s today. Wink, wink. Wow. Talk about treasure hunting. (speaks in foreign language) Scary shit, bro. Wow, scary shit. (speaks in foreign language) That is awesome. Boom. (speaks in foreign language) What do you guys think? (speaks in foreign language) How epic is this, huh? (speaks in foreign language) Perfect, I’ve been
needing this right here. We got it, bro, we got it. See, how cool is that story? Lemme lower this
air-conditioning a little bit. How cool is that story? I’m searching, I’m looking,
I’m turning over rocks, I’m looking, I’m finding, I’m doing everything I can to do that. I got people that are
doubting me, I got people that are purposely trying
to avoid the situation because they’re scared,
they don’t wanna be involved because they know that
they can take a hit. But I’m not gonna give up on this. Why, because I think it’s
the right thing to do. And I think it’s right and I’m
gonna go and fight and do it. I got lucky, I found a
dead motor on the top, well, you guys saw it. Listen, if I don’t put all this
stuff the way it’s happening you guys wouldn’t believe
none of this shit, none of it. So, I think that’s what
makes this particular find and experience and story, extra special. That’s why I get kinda frustrated when people don’t wanna
take the ride with me. Look at that, look at that,
my phone just did a somersault and I caught it with two fingers. Yo, yo. Computer’s on. This is one of the parts we needed to get. (speaks in foreign language) Guys, to see this ’cause there’s a Rendovo restoration that I have not put on my channel, that a very good friend of mines, PG, who does fiberglass work, he
actually, he moved to Iowa and I helped him with his, okay, I’m gonna show you guys
how good this stuff is. This stuff is extremely good. (speaks in foreign language) You have to spray this on. This is the activator. There you go. Come on, dude focus, why you not focusing? (speaks in foreign language) It’s almost like that thing
just welds on plastic, it’s incredible; on anything. It fills gaps too. So, I’ll tell you. When I first saw it used,
let me see if I can get a, come on guy. (speaks in foreign language) Dries immediately. Incredible stuff. (speaks in foreign language) We’re just gonna fill it
up a little bit better. And like I said guys, I’m
gonna get this part eventually. New, like this. I’ll get a used part but
it’s gonna be better. We’ll see guys, we’re gonna
see if this wiring harness matches up exactly the same. Here it is. Pro CA. That’s what it’s called, it
says, medium gap-filling. This is the glue and this
is the Pro activator. Dude, that stuff is awesome. Look how it literally
almost welded this thing. See that? Now, it won’t come off from there. I can literally pull the engine over and it won’t come off. It’s really strong stuff, good stuff. Every day you learn something new. I’ll tell you, if you have,
but one of the tricks, you gotta keep it in the refrigerator. ‘Cause if not, it’ll run out on you. Tryna see if the harness will work. That’ll be a shame if
it’s not the same one or if we can’t get it to work. I think we’re fine. CorrosionX. This right here wasn’t on the harness that they gave me so, we’re pulling it off of
the old harness that was sunk so, the good thing about it is, that’s a plug that’s separate
so, worst case scenario, that won’t get taxed so hard. We’re gonna see if this one, I don’t know, maybe it might have survived,
who knows, we’ll find out. Guys, you guys are gonna
find out exactly with us. You’re seeing it as it’s happening. It’s obviously something that
we don’t do every day but we’re doing it. And we’re pretty optimistic
that this is gonna start up. (speaks in foreign language) Right now, he’s moving the
cables to the other side. (speaks in foreign language) We’ve hit a little snag
because the harness is not exactly the same,
it’s an older harness. So, whatever, we’re
gonna try to figure out, see if it’ll work. See, the other harness
didn’t have this here so, I don’t know. It’s an older harness but we’re gonna try, we’ll work with what we got and
then the worst case scenario we gotta get a harness. But we’ll see, let’s see. And the spark plugs. The spark plugs are going in. Stopped raining which is nice. Stopped raining so that’s
really, really nice. It is so hot and moist out here. It’s the beginning of June guys and it’s 90-degree days
already out here in Miami. Look at this. We’re almost done. Wow, this is the broken one. This is the good one. Good one. Broken one, good one. Let me go ahead and start
wiping these down for him because they’re a little dirty. And the coils are finally put on. All right guys, remember
the two in the bottom are brand new. Those are the ones that
were actually the two up top that got damaged in the, I guess, when we were taking it out
of the water at the ramp. How cool is that, huh? (sighs) Just remember those days,
man, just think back and remember that day. People, the very first video were like, “You’re a bunch of idiots.” I said it on the first video,
we’ll come back and get it and we did. Just like I’m saying now, it’s gonna start and we’re gonna put it on a boat. And wait until I wrap my RIB,
I’m gonna wrap an entire RIB. Everybody in the world’s
gonna know this boat and this engine. This guy’s a beast. He’s not just a good
mechanic, he’s a great guy, which is important. We have come a long way guys. We both have appointments to go to now so, we’re gonna have to
end it here but listen, it’s there guys, you see that? We’ve come a long way. We still gotta figure out the harness. We have this one here
but it didn’t line up and it didn’t match up guys. It is what it is. We’re working with what we got. We’ve been fortunate, some
of you guys have helped. Rodolfo, (speaks in foreign language). Thank you guys, we are outta here and the restoration continues. (speaks in foreign language) We’re just using a couple chains and we’re gonna grab it
from here, make sure it’s and if it falls, it falls over again, bro we get another million
views and that’s it bro, leave me alone, go ahead
and just watch the thing and let Rodolfo do his job, bro. I’m just kidding, people, relax. I don’t need more haters. There’s only so many death
threats I can get a day. (cranking) (speaks in foreign language) She’s going in. She’s going in. She is going in. (speaks in foreign language) wow, look at this. Oh my God, this is, bro,
this is really happening. Is this real or not. I gotta be dreaming, bro. This is a bad dream. All right, we got the new gasket that’s going on there. Just wiping it down. She’s looking pretty. (speaks in foreign language) Woo, scary, scary, scary, I don’t know what just
happened there guys. Very, very scary, dude. What just happened there, I don’t know. (speaks in foreign language) Scary, scary, scary, guys. (speaks in foreign language) That got scary there for a second there. I don’t know, maybe I
guess like one of the chains or something unkinked or something, I don’t know what happened I was like, no. But whatever. It’s on the motor now so,
well, it’s not on the motor but it’s presented on the motor. I think we’re better than
we were two minutes ago. But what am I talking about, you guys are watching everything, bro. Do I look like I was taking
a dump, ’cause I was, that was scary. (speaks in foreign language) All right guys, we’re going back down. We are going back down. Oh yeah. (speaks in foreign language) Woo. (speaks in foreign language) That is crazy. That is crazy, guys. We have done it. The block is hot. All right, hold on. (speaks in foreign language) Bam. That is amazing. She’s back on, guys. This will be my trophy, guys, right here. I’m gonna have to take this from Rodolfo. Rodolfo, (speaks in foreign language). This is it bro. This is my trophy right here. See that, my RIB Fishing
hardly let me give her a kiss, that’s a wife-proof hack. She’s in, it got scary
there for a minute, guys, it really did. So, Rodolfo’s putting all the nuts on the bolts. All right, see all those there. (drilling) (speaks in foreign language) All right so, we gotta
take this little pump out because we gotta get a screw in there which is right in here. I don’t know if you’ll be
able to see it, you see that? Right down in there, right there. So, we have to get that in there. (speaks in foreign language) But yeah, we should be good, we just take that off real quick. We’ll be able to bolt it
on and we’re getting there, we’re getting there guys. Everything’s these looking
good, spinning good. We turned over the motor,
everything is good. It’s been maybe two weeks
since we got here, again. He’s been on vacation,
now, I’m going on vacation. There we go. She’s coming out. We woulda known that,
we woulda taken it off before we put the engine
but this is the first time we take one apart. But it is what it is, you learn as you go. And that’s why I’m putting this up here so, if you do it yourself, you know what to expect and what to do. I’m tryna do everything part by part. In there, there’s another one right here. That one right there and
then there’s that one there. See it there guys? Now, we’ll torque it up. Like I said in one of the
other videos, to specs. Just gotta put this back right here. I have the pins. Let’s go to this side. So, that was the bolt that had to go in. Luckily, it wasn’t worse. At first when I saw it,
I was like, “Oh my God, “don’t tell me we have to
take this thing up again “to get to this,” that
woulda been a nightmare. I think we only have like
maybe 12 screws left over that we don’t know; I’m just kidding guys. I’m just kidding, relax guys,
we got this, we got the book, we got the book. The book’s falling apart
but we got the book. All right so, fuel lines, all
right, are just going back in. Everything is starting to, all the cables, fuel lines, all that, are starting to make sense. Your granddad is gonna
be famous on YouTube. You know he’s gonna be famous on YouTube? – Probably. – [Alfred] Yeah, no, probably nothing, he’s already famous on YouTube. They already know him, Rodolfo. (speaks in foreign language) Tell him, tell him, tell him, tell him, you’re learning, you’re
watching your granddad do this? – Yeah. – [Alfred] Have you learned
a lot already with him? – Yeah. – [Alfred] You could already
do a lot of stuff with him, right?
– Of course. – [Alfred] Yeah, there you go
baby, that’s how you teach ’em you teach ’em young so
they can start learning. Be self-sufficient. If one day you guys see this engine and you want proof that
this is the right one, see this rash right here,
that’s gonna be the love mark that you guys will remember. That’s it, that’s about it,
that’s what we have left, guys. That was full to the, to like here and… I’m kinda sad because the
story is getting to its finale. I’d like the resolve but
it’s a story with a… It’s the way we got here,
what makes everything fun. I just wanna show you guys. So, this piece, which is kinda like a, see that? This one is fine but the
other one, you see how it still has a piece of
plastic so, it broke off. So, I have to figure out
how to find the other one for this side. You guys kinda got a drift
of what I gotta find so, let me see if I can
make a few phone calls, see if somebody has that
other side in black. We’ll use some PadXpress, take off all these scuffs and
scratches and all that stuff. Here’s the other one also
that’s all scuffed up but you know what, with
that PadXpress guys, if you haven’t seen that, I did the actual cowling
with Libero from France and it’s looking good, man,
it’s gonna look real good. I’m just gonna do it all at the end, end so I don’t work double. (speaks in foreign language) Just wanna show you guys. (drilling) See that? Saves us a lot of missions
to get into tight spots. We got it good so, now we can
go ahead and put it in there. Look how fun those two bolts are so you get a better perspective. Here’s where they’re at, look at that. See that? They’re all the way in
there so my question is, how do we get that in there. What a scene, guy. Wow, it’s gonna be. All right, one is in, if you see, all the way in there. Right there, it’s in, see that? We still need this side but
dude, what a doozy of a mission. Whatever, we’ll get it. But dude, it takes a lot of time. Anybody got a recommendation,
put it on the comments below. Other than have your
three-year-old son or grandson put their hand in there and turn it, I don’t know what to do. Six years later. All right, we got one in. Good lord. Never seen that before but I guess that’s why every
day we learn something new. This guy’s a beast. (speaks in foreign language) Oh no. The nut fell in there. Telling you, those are two little missions to say the least. Yeah but it’s in. It’s in, look. Oh my God, you jinxed us bro,
you jinxed us, it was you. The guy sitting in the
can right now, it was you. What are you doing, watching
this video in the can, bro? Go use your bidet, dude. Finish up and come back when
you’re sitting on the couch like everybody else. (speaks in foreign language) Yeah, we got it. Yeah. About damn time. Dude, don’t be in the can, bro, you’re gonna mess this up again. Flush the toilet already, bro. Yeah, wow, what a mission. That thing was a nightmare. Well, the trusty little invention worked. Two tie wraps saved the day. See that guys? Don’t ever underestimate
a Cuban without tools. See, if you ask the right questions, that sometimes, gives you
the answers that you need to get the results you want. In this scenario, we asked ourselves, what can we do to get this thing out? (speaks in foreign language) Look at this guys. See that, see? See, that is inspired by, damn, we don’t have the right parts, we’re gonna have to figure something out. So, cool stuff. Got both of those in there now. What a mission. Now, we’re gonna put the fuel. (speaks in foreign language) So, we’re almost there guys. That was a little longer
than what we expected but the good thing is that, it’s done. We kinda knew that that
was gonna be a problem but it’s there so, let’s proceed
to the next scenario. All right guys, so, we’re gonna
test out the fuel pump now to see if it works. Now, we’re gonna open it
up and try to see if we can rehab it somehow. So, it should be interesting, we’ll see if she wants to go. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. What do we got there Becky? We got a pump that works. That is awesome. (speaks in foreign language) That is golden. That was beautiful. Can’t say anything else
better than amazingness. You know we are getting close to the end when the dipstick is about to go in. Bam. I’m gonna try not to
smile while I do this. I know that some of you guys dislike me but I’m gonna give you the opportunity to come to the other side. Come to the, not the dark side, dark color zone side, no. We’re gonna come to the good side. So listen, just let’s do
this, you from the beginning when you saw this you
pressed the dislike button because you didn’t think
it was gonna happen. But I’d like to ask you guys with, lemme see if I can get it. Here you go, bro. I’m gonna give you an olive branch. Dislike my thing and
at the end of the year, at the end of the year, I will unblock the people who are
voiceless in my channel. So, there it is, my olive branch. Actually, you know what, we’re gonna leave it right
here for you guys, right there. (speaks in foreign language) Welcome back, welcome
back to the Alpha Montaner RIB Fishing channel, here
with Rodolfo, making a scene.. Hold on, lemme get the olive branch that I just promised everyone,
there you go, bro. There you go, there
you go, that’s for you. That’s for you, I hate you. (drilling) She’s going in. Here we go. The fuel pump is already going in guys. That’s it, we’re connecting
all the hoses now and soon, soon, I think we’re running
out of things to put on and we don’t have any extra. (speaks in foreign language) You see? I didn’t expect that to happen. (speaks in foreign language) Lemme see, lemme see, lemme
show ’em, lemme show them. So now, he’s putting that,
woulds said that one. See, I wouldn’t have thought of that. (chuckles) See, that there, see. And now it goes in there
which is what I just, see that down in there, see that? Beautiful. It’s got two bolts. One of them goes right in
here, see that right there? On one side and the other one goes on the other side as well. I could almost see the ad
right now on Craigslist. Mercury Verado, 12 hours, barely used. Grandfather got sick and old
and died on his beloved boat. Family problems, I need to sell ASAP. Wow. I got it dude, I got it. This is exactly how it’s gonna be. I need a good picture so, what I’ll do is, I’ll take a picture of another Verado and then, I’ll put it on the ad. Oh my God, this is, I love it. We doing this. (chuckles) (speaks in foreign language) (both laugh) That’s funny. I told him, “What are you singing to, “some chick on YouTube?” He goes, “Yeah,” and I go, “Oh, they’re gonna go
ahead and light you up,” he goes, “No, the one
inside, the one inside.” Alternators, ooh, woulda
been a close call. Look at that. (speaks in foreign language) All right so, we just got
this little side panel on so, that’s nice. The other one, the other one is there
but as you see here, it got damaged in the impact
so, what we’re gonna do is, I have to order it. Maybe I’ll find that on eBay. So, get something on eBay and

mark the spot, mark it. – Yeah, I’ll mark the spot on the GPS. (speaks in foreign language) – [Alfred] People don’t
think this is gonna happen, we’re gonna take it out. (whining) (speaks in foreign language) There it goes, guys, there it goes. There it goes. There it goes. (engine cranking) – Yeah, I got these nuts. – [Alfred] Let’s look at the nuts. – They look like, the
thread got stripped out. There was so much torque on the motors, it just ripped out that whole thread. – [Alfred] Completely, lemme see. Maybe I can get the, look at that guys. It’s hard to see right
here but I don’t know if you can check it out. It’s completely stripped
out, guys, look at that. See that? Crazy.
We have taken those motors
on and off a couple times to optimize them, different props, lifting them, dropping
them because this is truly, sort of a test boat but it’s a
well thought-out design plan. We use naval architects for the LCG and placement and structural lamination. One of the, main fault from this after coming back and looking into it was a mismatch in hardware.
– The boat, for a 6,000 pound
boat that’s full of gas, it’s kinda heavy,
especially going airborne on every third wave, it just couldn’t take the torque on the threads that were– – [Alfred] Holy shit. – The motor broke off. – [Alfred] Holy shit. Holy. – Oh my God. – [Alfred] Turn off everything. Turn off everything.
– Turn everything off, everything off. – Turn off the other one, Boyd. – Turn everything off. – [Alfred] What did it come off of? It just came off. – [Boyd] The bolts on that
sheared, all the bolts came out. – [Alfred] Holy crazy.
(engine revving) Oh my God, look at that! Whoa, we’re completely out in the air. Dude. Hands down, the best riding boat I’ve been on in my life. Hands down, incredible, wow. We lost it, guys, we lost the engine. Boyd, mark the spot,
mark the spot, mark it. – [Boyd] Yeah, I’ll mark
the spot on the GPS. – [Alfred] Mark the spot,
mark the spot, mark the spot. – We’ll come and get this. – [Alfred] Yeah, mark
the spot, mark the spot. Mark the spot. We can pickle that and… Mark the spot. Look at this guys, look at this. If this is not the case
for owning a RIB boat, I don’t know what is, guys. Look at this guys. Nice.
He’s in his go-karting,
professional go-karting.
We probably could’ve damaged the hull so, yeah, maybe we could’ve
but I think the end game, we would’ve done way
more damage to the boat than what we did from just releasing it after initial impact.
We’re talking about a company, professionals and stuff like that.
That thing has a little wit
but it’s gonna require probably some new harness and a lot of oil and you gotta get on
that straightaway but, you also have to take the
equipment, you gotta take airbags, you gotta have divers that can do 120 feet and dive time is– – [Alfred] I got friends, I got friends.
– [Alfred] All right guys, so listen, I don’t have the whole
entire enchilada tools that we will need for–
– Is it a six? – [Alfred] Six is good. I don’t know, we’re gonna
see what I’m doing here. All right, see if this might work. I just don’t want the, I don’t want the RIB to get messed up. Which is a possibility because
it is a very heavy engine. So, let’s see, I might be doing
this and wasting my money, I don’t know, let’s see. Hold on. – I’m talking to my lawyer first. – [Alfred] What was the
bet, what did you say, I’ll bet $1,000 what?
– No, a million. – [Alfred] A million
that what’s gonna happen? – That you’re never gonna get that motor. – [Alfred] Okay, shake on it. Shake on it. You see that, you doubt, you doubt. – You can’t video and
shake at the same time– – [Alfred] Will, do you think
I’m gonna get the motor, bro? – I don’t know. – [Alfred] What do you mean, bro? The corner of doom, guys. Hey, I’m gonna get it, bro. – No you’re not. – [Alfred] Just to prove you wrong. – What are you gonna do,
swing down there with a rope, put it on your tities, swim back up? – You’re not getting bleeped. – [Alfred] Watch, I bet you. What do you wanna bet? – You name it. – Coffee.
– Coffee? Wow. I see you’re going all out. (chuckles) – [Alfred] All right, bye, fine. – Okay, coffee, oh wait, wait. – Burger King.
– Dunkin’s, Starbucks or Wawa. – [Alfred] No, no Burger King,
Burger King, Burger King. – Burger King, oh my God. Burger King, I’d rather drink gasoline. – Bro, (laughs) I’m outta here. You’re horrible, bro. Hey you guys, I gotta,
bro, you guys are terrible. I’m gonna get that engine, bro, watch. – Yeah, okay. – [Alfred] Hey guys, shout out to Fredy’s from trailer rescue. If you guys get in a situation where you need a trailer fixed. In this case, we’re
converting this into another, a bigger rim and put some hubs on this so, we’re up to something,
we’re up to something. (speaks in foreign language) Fredy, we got this bro. So, I’m here inside the hatch of La Bestia and I’m tightening up what I’m gonna kinda, clamp down on. It’s gonna be a little mission
but I’m gonna get in there, I’m here, like I said, I’m inside the hatch of
La Bestia so, we’ll see. I’m not gonna let that
motor stay down there. First of all, I don’t like
dropping anything into the ocean, I’m like one of these people
that picks the bags and don’t kill an ant so, whatever. I just wanna show you guys that if you don’t have a davit, look, harbor freight, baby 94 bucks. Obviously, not this one,
this is something we use. It’s a lot more expensive
but this right here guys. So, we’re here at the checkout. Marvel Mystery oil. So, we got just some
regular oil, 4-Stroke oil. We’re gonna recycle these several before we put the original one
so, we’re gonna let it flush. And we got some water. Oh shoot, I need to cover for this so, I’m not gonna take this one
’cause I don’t have the cap. No cap, no home. can you visualize. That’s right baby,
you’ll be seeing a motor hanging off of this bad boy,
La Bestia, we’re doing it baby. History in the making. All right guys so, we’re on
the road, a lot of traffic. We’re gonna arrive a
little later than what my friends are gonna be arriving there. This is like a two-hour
drive from where I’m at. We’ll get the engine. That’s not the problem man. I see a lot of the comments
and a lot of people are like “You guys are such
idiots,” and this and that, blah, blah, blah, “how
can you just drop it, “you just throw a line.” Guys, this is a 700-pound engine. You have a little situation
with one of those ropes or tension or something like that, you have one motor that might
not be operable or whatnot. So, it’s easy to say after the
fact, “I woulda done this,” listen, we’re still shooken up, it was pretty aggressive
what had happened. You guys didn’t see it on film. But look, we’re gonna go back, that’s why we marked the
spot, we’ll get the engine. It’s just unfortunate
that a lot of people, they don’t realize that the
most important thing, is you. You and the other people
that are gonna be on board and as the captain, when you’re
in a situation of stress, of true stress and like,
oh shoot, this is crazy, what’s going on here? First of all, secure yourself. Then if you wanna secure your
property and all that stuff, at this point, the
gentleman made a decision because he figured well, you know what, it goes underwater, that’s it. The value for this engine is
nowhere where it is the same. He’s not gonna go ahead and
run it through his insurance because it’s not a significant loss for a company of that size. It’s an accident and it
happened and the reality is is that somebody unproperly
did their job and in this case, they mismatched the bolt
and the nut and that’s why it started eating up. Now, I would argue,
this is just my opinion, I would argue that most
bolts in that type of stress would also have an issue at some point. So, I think going forward, you’re gonna push a boat to that limit, you gotta make sure you do extra. And I’m sure they’re
gonna go ahead and do that and figure that out but now,
I’m just gonna go over there, get the engine, get all
the haters and be like, “What happened now?” But it’s unfortunate ’cause
I see some of the comments and you like, “Wow, these people,” there’s a lot of hatred out there and that’s an unfortunate thing. It’s not like we woke up
in the morning saying, “Oh, I can’t wait to go out
and just drop this engine “in the middle of the ocean.” Nobody wants to do that. Nobody wants to drop an engine
in the middle of the ocean. But when you don’t know what’s going on, you have to make a quick decision, you make the best decision for yourself because if you make the wrong
decision, you know what, it might hurt someone or someone else. And for property or a thing, that’s replaceable but your
life isn’t replaceable. I’m fortunate that we were on a RIB boat. The tubes will keep us
stabilized and whatnot and everybody woulda done
it little bit different. I’m never in a position to tell anybody that’s the captain of their own vessel, how to handle a situation because I wouldn’t want
somebody to do it on me. You have to have one
captain and one captain only and then everybody else
just, do what you gotta do or whatever the captain needs you to do. All right guys so, let’s go
get that and I don’t know, let’s see, let’s see how quick
we find it, we’ll find it. But how quick we find it. This damn traffic isn’t helping. Somebody else wanted a
Fluid 10-meter like this, where can they go find some information? – Fluidboats.com and Sirocco
Marine, we have ’em in stock, Fort Lauderdale and Annapolis. – [Alfred] And in Annapolis
you also some in stock? – Yup. We typically have 20 or 25
big Fluid boats in stock. – That is awesome. Guys, if you wanna get this boat, check ’em out. Thanks for watching and next
mission I guess, will be to go ahead and try to
retrieve that engine. We’re outta here. I got Nelson and Pedro
from Underwater Services, we’re all loaded up, we’re on La Bestia and we’re ready to do this. I got my mechanic and friend,
Rodolfo, we’re ready to go. Hey. (speaks in foreign language) People don’t think this is gonna happen, we’re gonna take it out. Guys, we’re gonna take it out, let’s go. Hey look, beautiful day. Five to 10 baby, let’s do this. All right guys, they just resurfaced.
Dude, we haven’t even been here 15 minutes and these guys already located that. (speaks in foreign language) Be careful. (speaks in foreign language) Neutral, we’re in neutral. (speaks in foreign language) The cowling is off, they’re telling me… (speaks in foreign language) Perfect baby. (speaks in foreign language) All right guys. (speaks in foreign language) (breathing mask droning) (speech muffled) They’re right under us. See, see, see right there,
they’re just coming up. Okay guys, it’s coming up. It’s coming up, it’s coming up guys. Okay. (speaks in foreign language) All right guys, it’s coming up. (breathing mask hissing) (speech muffled) (speech muffled) (whining) I see some bubbles coming up.
(speaks in foreign language) We’re good guys. We did it, we did it! Wow, let’s go see this beautiful, let’s see this beautiful work of art. (speaks in foreign language) Oh my God. This is the craziest,
unbelievable experience. I have, not really done
because I’ve done worse. But guys, let’s say we did it. All right guys, like I said the other day, “Oh nothing happened,
let’s check out the boat,” listen, the boat’s a beast guys. The motor was destined
to make a scene today. All right, she’s out. All right, listen, I
wanna go ahead and thank Underwater Services, dude,
these guys are beast.
Listen Linda.
– [Alfred] Just remember, Alfred Montaner is a man of his word. I woke up this morning saying I was gonna come home with an engine. I came home with an engine. Beast mode, baby. You can’t visualize. All right guys. All right guys, we’re taking it off and now, it’s time to rehab this motor. We have a lot to do. Rinse, rinse, rinse. And get in, get in there,
start taking it apart, quickly. Turn it, Marvel Mystery oil and quickly. – Just patience, that’s all it is.
(speaks in foreign language) (hose hissing) All right guys, so we’re
just, we’re right now gonna see what goes on in here.
(water splashing) So, we’re gonna flush her
out now and put new oil and then we’ll work on her tomorrow. But, at least you guys got
to see some of the process. That’s a lot of water
that’s in there, man. A lot of water. (water splashing) Now what we’ll do, is we’ll flush her. (speaks in foreign language) Straight up, salt water.
We wanted to be safe doing’ it. Now that is oil. A lot of it. See that? See that guys? All right, now we’re talking business. – Rodolfo?
– Hey. – [Alfred] Oil is out,
spark plugs are out. She already took a nice little bath. The best scenario would
probably be just dunking her upside down in a big old freshwater tank. Give her a real good bath. All right guys so, he’s gonna
start spinning the engine. So, hold on, lemme, oh wait. See that? That’s super important. Get that engine spinning, start
spitting all that saltwater. All right so, that’s
good, that’s really good. That’s really, really good. There’s life in those pistons baby. Woo! Wow, this is crazy. Oh shoot, my phone got wet. That was a stream. (laughs) Better the phone than the camera. Lemme get a better angle. (speaks in foreign language) (engine cranks) So, what we’re doing now is, we’re getting some of
the Marvel Mystery oil. We put some diesel in there, a whole five gallons worth and now, we’re getting the Marvel
Mystery oil put in there. This stuff, I’m a believer
in this product, man. Look at her, initial assessment. She’s not terrible. Obviously, I’m sure
she’s seen better days. A couple things got hit on the impact but she’s pickled now. Here’s where she had, I guess,
where she went down hard. See that right there? Let me see if you guys
can see that right there. See that? That’s where it was. But listen guys, I think there’s a good
story to be told here that some crazy Cuban from
Miami went two weeks afterwards and picked up a Mercury
Verado 300 with 12 hours and I saw it. That’s what we live for on this channel. Hey guys, I’m outta
here for the 15th time. Please, please, please,
please, like and subscribe. I’m Alfred Montaner and I am exhausted. Later. Yeah, no, no, babe, listen,
listen, listen babe, listen.
I think we got ourself an engine that’s gonna last
us for many, many years. All right, guys. So, here she is, Miss America. Remember, that’s where the damage was. And that’s it guys. She’s looking good. And I think the Marvel
Mystery oil and the diesel gave us enough time to take
her apart but see that guys? Beautiful, she looks fantastic. (yelps) Got that on camera. (speaks in foreign language) Everywhere while he’s doing it. All around, everywhere. (machine whirring) More CorrosionX and then
once we start getting and putting it all together, we do a good, good final cleaning. Let’s close it up. They pulled some… (speaks in foreign language) Thank you sir, you are the man.
– It is, it is, it is.
– And we wanna hear it. – It is, hey listen man. Taking care of us and
we got a lot of time so, thank you so much Oscar. Look at this guys. All right guys so, here are the valves, they’re working the valves and here, everything is all marked. Little by little, she’s
already all disassembled. We’ll get her cleaned up. Like I said, all this will get cleaned up and then put it back on. I’ll feel a lot better about
this two years from now when I have engine issues. I’ll be like, “Well, at
least, along the way, “I know I did it right.” I think we are in business. I’m gonna touch up this
little rusted area right here which is nothing. And guys, we’re good. We are good. Then, we’re off to the
next thousand other parts. (buzzing) Haters are gonna hate, just remember that. Disregard the noise. If I would’ve believed
that people would’ve said, “He can’t get that, it’s lost forever. “This guy just went
ahead and dropped this,” listen, that was their first,
hear the haters thinking guys. We’re gonna get to the build now but let me go ahead and vent.
All right, let me show
you guys the pistons. Here is (speaks in foreign language). See, it’s nicely cleaned. All right so now, we’re
gonna put the new rings. And we’re working. All right guys, just so
you guys see something ’cause I just noticed something
and I just wanna correct it, it’s something that
might happen to somebody. There you go. You see that little T
right there where it says, right here where it says to T, now look in the manual. It says here, the top
piston compression ring must be installed with the T side up, Boom. There she is, Miss America, with her first heartbeat
back, her first of six. (mimics revving engine) (speaks in foreign language) We’re getting there guys,
we’re getting there. Oh my God, I hear purring
in my head right now. Maybe it’s my schizophrenia
or maybe I’m just visualizing the future,
all right, let’s do this. This is awesome. Come on baby. Fits like a glove. Like a beautiful glove. That is amazing. Wow. I’m hearing that idle in
my brain right now guys. I’m hearing it. You know we’re getting there. I know my haters right now. At first they were like,
“Man, you’ll never find it.” And then when I found it, they said, “That thing’s garbage,
you’ll never start it.” And when I start it, they’re gonna say, “That thing will never run, “it’s gonna give you a thousand problems.” And when I’m running, making
memories they’re gonna say, “One day, it’s gonna go kaboom.” And then at that time, I’ve
made a thousand memories, the engine has done his or her work, we don’t know what she is yet, we still have to identify her or him. (speaks in foreign language) She’s on. She is on. Now, the next question is, oh my lord, how are we gonna pick
this up between two dudes?
This is a problem now guys. This is becoming a problem. – That thing is called
the Schrader valve, $98. The reason why, it’s letting
the air out of you right now. (laughs) – [Phil] Schrader, it’s German, Schrader. Schrader valve. – [Alfred] This was $98–
– It releases the pressure of your wallet. – [Alfred] How much was
this part right here, this one, another 54, another 98? – So far, nothing over a thousand so, we’re talking about
a pretty economical– – Bro, I swear, if this motor doesn’t run, I’m gonna go ahead and make another video of me throwing it back to the
same spot, I got the numbers. – I got the numbers. – Tryna see if the harness will work. That’ll be a shame if
it’s not the same one or if we can’t get it to work. I think we’re fine.
(speaks in foreign language) Woo, scary, scary, scary, I don’t know what just
happened there guys. Very, very scary, dude. What just happened there, I don’t know. (speaks in foreign language) Scary, scary, scary, guys. (speaks in foreign language) Welcome my little friends. 4-Stroke. You tax me, you know who you are. Not you Phil, not you
Phil, from Boat Center, I got you, Phil. I bought this from someone else so you know I cheated on you. I went somewhere else. And it wasn’t online,
it was a physical place. Oh my God, it’s happening. It is happening. We got fresh oil going into those pistons. Don’t be actin crazy bro, I got you hater, I know who you are. I’m not gonna name names anymore. I see that you guys get
excited when I do that but I know who you are. You guys ever heard of life after death? This is what this Mercury
Verado represents. All right, we’re done for the day. We just got the oil in, it’s ready to go, everything is already put back together and we’re done for this video. Guys, stay tuned for the next one. Tell your friends, like,
subscribe, do all that crazy stuff. Look up at the sky guys,
I need you to look up. You have the moon here
and then to your left, there’s Mercury. I can’t find them, I can’t find it. Where’s Mercury, where’s Mercury? I don’t see it. Can you guys tell me where Mercury’s at? ‘Cause every time I look up,
they’re nowhere to be found. That’s it guys, it’s happening right now. We got the cowling here
and we’re gonna start this, Rodolfo. (speaks in foreign language). (laughs) Basically said, he’s a
badass like his granddad. How cool is that guys? Look at that. This is, actually right behind me, is the boat that got us the Verado. So, that’s La Bestia. Awesome boat, I really love
it and I think at some point, she’s gonna have to be sold
off to go ahead and make way for the next boat I got. I wanna thank you guys
along the whole journey that we’ve had with this
whole restoration video. Where do I start? For me, this video when it
happened was not so much about the engine as it was to never give up. Sometimes people think
because somebody says, “Oh, you can’t do this,
you can’t do that,” I wanted to make it a point that, even people say stuff like
that, it doesn’t matter. When it’s all said and done, if you’re passionate about something and you put your heart into something, there’s nothing or no one
that can stop you, nobody. And once you push enough,
you get people on your side and that’s when people start helping you. So, I wanna thank all
the people along the way who helped me along this,
the way to get this, from Rodolfo, the
mechanic, from the divers. You name it, I had so
much help along the way from the people at Carrera Powerboats, they gave me the computer. The people at Southern Marine they gave, there’s so many people along the way guys. It’s a big story and
I don’t want it to end just like this. I wanna go ahead and tell you guys that this Mercury Verado is not gonna be mine. I am going to give it away. I’m gonna give it away to charity. I think it’s gonna give
us the whole full circle of the story and I thrive
for the story, guys. I did spend real money on this stuff. On the other side, I did
get money from the videos so, it’s kinda gonna balance itself out. But I think when it’s all said and done, I think this video is
about never giving up. It’s unfortunate that
certain companies can go along the way and
sometimes, companies lose focus and they forget what got them to where, how they got to where they’re at. So, it’s unfortunate that
I couldn’t ride this with, go boldly sometimes, not all the time. But listen guys, I play around
a lot and I joke around a lot but when it’s all said and done, I think this is the best approach that we’re gonna go ahead
and keep this story alive and it’s just gonna be
transferred somewhere else. It’s not that I don’t believe that the engine is gonna be good. I’m going to use the engine, I’m gonna put it on that RIB boat that I bought for this
engine, just for that engine and luckily I didn’t have
to spend a lot of money. And I’m gonna put it and
I’m gonna show how it ran and it did everything and then
we’re gonna auction it off and then give it to a
good charitable cause. And I think if there’s
anything that we learn from this whole experience is, that you should never
ever give up whether it’s fighting a disease, fighting, anything that you have, any obstacle, anything that you have in
your life, just don’t give up. You might have good days,
you might have bad days but you’re gonna go ahead and
persevere if you keep on going and disregard the noise. The haters are everywhere and
they’re always gonna hate. I really thank you guys
for joining my channel and you guys will see this
Verado started and cranked up, August 2nd. Thanks guys. Hey, go boldly, sometimes,
not all the time. Well, ladies and germs and
everyone else, we have, we got some changes because we got the opportunity
for the boat of my dreams; I’m just kidding guys. 25 which is black and gray. It’s kinda like got that whole law enforcement thing going on. I was originally gonna go ahead and paint the Verado white
that’s why I got that cowling, white from that
junkyard, really, really cheap like, dirt cheap like, here, have it. But now, since I got this black boat, I gotta keep the motor
white, I’m sorry, black. So, I just found a guy on Craigslist that has two Verado cowlings in black so, I’m just gonna go ahead and get that one. We’ll see now, let’s see. I’m gonna try to get it and
then that should eliminate everything else. So, let’s see, we’ll
see, we’ll see right now. We’re almost there. Let’s see if we can get
this and make it work. So, we got this. I just met up with this gentleman, I always try to meet up
people in public places. Guys, this is it. I just talked to him,
he was like, “Hey look, “don’t really care to be on
camera,” but this is it guys. So, I’m gonna go ahead
and get this one here. He has the pair, he wanted to
sell the pair but he’s like, “Look, I know about
your story in the video “so, I’m just gonna sell you one,” I go, “Dude it shouldn’t be too
hard to get the other one.” All right guys, we got
it so, let’s get it. Libero, one thing in America, you don’t wanna be what
they call, full of shit. When you’re full of shit then, people don’t take you seriously. – What is full of shit? – [Alfred] We’ll talk about it later. We’ll talk about it later. People are watching, they’re gonna know. Guys, these are the polishing
machines that I have here. This is a Bigfoot 21, this is a Bigfoot iBrid and this is a Bigfoot 15. I got the DeWalt. And now, I have the Milwaukee
system thanks to Libero. Look what I have to bring
now to a job or anything. All I need is this pad and
this machine and a battery and I’m already working. This here, I need, these cables are making a scene guy. See, I have a cable, I need
a cable, I need a cable. Awesome machines, great
thing, orbital, great. This one is portable. This has a battery. It doesn’t give me a long
time, this is more of like, as a detailer. But I just want you
guys to see that I have a proven system that I trust and I’m gonna go to this Milwaukee system with the PadXpress pads to do my stuff. Let me show you what we’re
gonna do now with Libero. Libero, you ready to start polishing? Let’s start polishing. Wait, let me show them
close-up so they can see these scratches on this. See that. – [Libero] This is here, this is here. – Lots and lots of scratches. So, we’re gonna go ahead
and start polishing. Let’s start using some PadXpress on here, let me put this on the… Libero, don’t make me look bad, man. Go, start, now I can hold it. I can hold it now, I can hold it now. Go, go, go. – I’m ready. – Go, go, I got it. (polisher buzzing) Can you wipe it, real quick? I want them to see, can you wipe it? – Yeah. – Wipe it real quick so
they can see the difference real quick. So, wipe it. So, the scratches already
all down here where he did, are absolutely gone. One of the reasons I like this, lemme see if I can get
a close-up on here guys. So, one of the reasons
I like this is because, I really believe that you
guys can do this yourselves. I got all these machines
like I showed you guys. Great. But if I’m gonna have to
go to somewhere quick, I need power here, I’m already restricted. Oh, I gotta be on a mission of power. So, I can get away with
having an inverter in my truck or whatnot, simple. I could take the pad off, I
could put the other pad on. See the results? So, I like that, to me,
that’s a huge advantage. Now, I don’t know what
other battery-based machines are out there but honestly, I
don’t need to look elsewhere ’cause that one works and
the battery lasts long enough for me to do a good job
and with two batteries, I could get away with it. I’ve gone as so far as
getting everything I get now going forward with Milwaukee
so, if I get more batteries I just have more
batteries when I do my job or anything else when
it comes to polishing. Libero is using the PadXpress system. We just got this. We have the other one, I’m
gonna show you the other one too but you see, we have a
bunch of scratches on this, like here too. (polisher buzzing) See this here? Libero, can you take that off,
you think that’ll come off? – [Libero] Yeah. – Lemme try to hold it at the same time. I’m holding it. Take the machine off real
quick so I can show them. No, take the machine off real quick. There you go, I wanna
show them the scratches. Do you think it’ll come out? (polisher buzzing) Hold on, lemme hold this so you don’t have to hold
it with your hand, here, go. (polisher buzzing) Lemme get it from back here,
I think it’ll be easier. (polisher buzzing) It’ll take it off completely. (polisher buzzing) Guys, I’ve done a review on this product. If you wanna see that,
I’ll link it up above. (polisher buzzing) And it’s starting to rain,
you can’t believe this. I want you Libero, if you can, just turn it so they
can see, slowly, slowly so they can see the difference. Oh look, we didn’t take this part out, let’s take that off. We didn’t take that off.
– Oh yeah. – [Alfred] Go, go, let’s
do it real quick, go, go, while we–
– I do. – [Alfred] Yeah, lets’ do
it, let’s do it real quick. – I do it? – Yeah, yeah, take it off, take it off. We missed that. Go. That’s a good scratch. (polisher buzzing) – Very big scratch. What do you expect? What did you expect? (chuckles) – I knew what was gonna happen. – That’s good. I turn it, you can’t see the difference. – Okay yeah, so start turning it. Yeah, I want them to see all that. So guys, see that where
all those scratches were, like they were on this side, gone. Bro, I have a really good
friend, Miami Outboards, they paint all these and
right behind our shop, we also have another paint company that does the same thing. So, I have access to getting
this stuff painted but why, if I have a system that
could get away with anything, as long as it’s not
to the paint, the scratches, if it’s not to the paint, you’ll be able to get a lot of them out. Not all of them but you have an option. Now, he’s gonna do the ceramic. So, this ceramic is a coating that you’re gonna eventually put on. Whatever step, there’s a two-step system. So, the first is the
rejuvenate, the paint rejuvenate or the gel coat. And I’ll explain what
it does, more or less. But now, we’re gonna put
this so you guys can see how it’s gonna beat off. That just sounds bad. Please tell our friends, sorry guys, this is supposed to be serious, man. Bro, I called you, bro, he
was, “I was beating off.” It’s a long story. You gotta understand my manners. But look, long story short, this thing is light, easy, quick, highly mobile and it works. My God, I sound like Bob
Barker selling something. We got this Libero. So, what do you wanna tell
them about the product. Most of the people that
watch this channel, wanna watch it for me. I’m just kidding, I’m just kidding. They wanna watch because they like boats or they deal with boats and mostly, me. – I know. – Me, me, me, me. – Yeah, I know.
– No, no, I’m just kidding, I’m just kidding. I’m not, I’m really not. You know you watch it for me. So, what was the theory? You have two pads for
boats, you have rejuvenate, paint rejuvenate and you have gel coats. So, when you have it, when
the gel coat is really chalky. – Yeah, when you pass hand and the gel coat is in
your hands, very old, you take the gel coat. – That’s the pad you use. You would use or purchase
the gel coat pad. – Yeah. When there is a boat paint, the color is not blue,
it’s white or black, it’s white or red, you take the
(speaks in foreign language) painting and you go slowly,
it coats and it gives shine. When that is finish, you
must protecting the boat with the ceramic. Because after, the gel
coat give you an image, the gel coat designed to repel the oranges and I tell you what to do, the oxidation coming
back after two months, it will be white again. – So, if you’re not protecting
it with the ceramic, in two months, three months
it’s gonna get dulled out again so, what you wanna do is, you wanna do the actual
restoration of the paint. And then put the ceramic,
once you put the ceramic, it’s gonna protect it
for what, up to a year? – Yeah.
– For one year? – [Libero] One year. One year. – Once you’re done with your pad, you don’t have to throw it
away, you just put it away and until that actual
compound that’s in there and that ceramic that’s in there, you go ahead and use it again. So, what I told him is,
“Hey, make me a little box “that I can have and we can
put both of these together “so when somebody wants
to finish with their pad, “they put it back in their box.” You don’t obviously, want
it exposed to the sun because anything that
has some type of chemical eventually, it will dry out, whatnot. But that’s the system. Now, here’s another thing,
why I have all these rupes polishers and all that stuff. I love this stuff. I’m sorry, Libero.
– Oh my God. – Well look, actually, I wanna
talk about that too because. So, bring me your pad. So, these are rupes pads. This is a rupes pad,
great system, I like it. But he did mention
something that is different. In his pad and his foam technology, what, it doesn’t, drink it.
– Drink. – So, it doesn’t drink it up so that you’re wasting more product. Remember, he had to make a
product that stays on the pad so you can use the least amount possible so it can be in this pad
and then you agitate it and once it’s agitated on the boat, it does its job, you put it away. So, that’s one of the things. Like, if I were to go
ahead and do this real fast on any of the polishers,
it’s gonna kinda squirt out, dirty me and all that good stuff. These are great, don’t get me wrong, this whole system is phenomenal. But for me, simplicity
and time, mostly my time, ’cause I never get that back. Remember that, father time is undefeated and it’s gonna get you too, at some point. Time is gonna kill us all. Boom, I put it in there, I
take it with this system. What is this, the M18, what, fuel what? – Yeah. – What model is this?
– It’s a M18 fuel. – M18 fuel. Is that what this–
– Polisher machine. – The polisher from Milwaukee. I like it, it’s light. You have the settings here, it’s really, you can use it here, I like that. So, that’s what we’re using. I wanted to show you guys. Hopefully, we have that Verado going. I’m gonna be doing some work with Libero. At this point, I have not been paid. – No.
– So, let them know. And he’s also giving me a lot of his time and he’s actually helped me
with some of the projects that I’ve had along the way and you guys have seen
some of those videos. But I believe in the product so, since I do believe in the product I’m gonna make it accessible to you guys. So, if you guys wanna get
access to it because right now, none of the big distributors,
not even the big boys, they’re trying to, to get to him and hopefully, they do get to him. They’re not gonna have access to it. The first shipments are
gonna come in through me and then I’m gonna go ahead and supply a distributor network out here ’cause I don’t wanna be involved. I have plenty of things to do. So, here’s the system. If you wanted to buy this
whole Milwaukee system, it comes with two batteries, the charger. Does this pen come with it or no? – No, no.
– That’s your pen. Like I said, I have all the system guys. I got two rupes. And honestly, I might
have to just go ahead and get rid of these because
I’m not gonna use them as much. I’ll probably use this most of the time and there’s no sense of having them This does have a time and
place because it’s orbital. But honestly, with what I do mostly, I think just the convenience of this and not having to plug in, plugging in is if you go
to a marina or somewhere and you gotta, oh my God,
I forgot my extension cord and now I have to go ask this guy and I have to go ask that guy, I’d rather take five batteries and just not have to ask anybody. I kinda go in with my little thing, they’re not gonna ask me
a bunch of question, boom. I do my job and I’m done. Did you have anything else to say, Libero? – No.
– We do. – Have a fun–
– We do. – Yeah, we do. What we can do, you can do, it’s easy. We are not professional,
he’s not professional. – Hey, I’m a professional. (laughs) I’m outta here. Hey, don’t ever call
me, not a professional. Are you ready? You can’t visualize, can you, look, when I say you can’t visualize,
I go so far in my mind and I see things and scenarios
because I know I’m gonna try and I’m not scared to fail. Guys, we are gonna do today, what we all have been waiting for, what I’ve been waiting for, what everybody’s been waiting for. We’re gonna attempt to start
the sunken Mercury Verado 300 that we lost on April 1st. It was April Fool’s Day,
this is no April Fool’s joke, craziness. If you have not seen the whole series ’cause it’s an entire
series, I did a playlist, go to the playlist on
the top of my channel; I’ll try to put a link up
here and you’ll see exactly how this whole process has happened. I got a lot of feedback,
good, bad, it doesn’t matter. We’re here. So, we’re gonna try to
start this motor today. I’m gonna give you, not mine
but your Mercury Verado, get ready. Are you even ready,
can you even visualize? Let’s do this guys. Hey, you know who’s behind this door? Rodolfo, baby. This is what we’ve waiting for, guys. This is what we’ve been waiting for. Oh my God can you,
(mimics revving engine). My God. I told you guys, you can’t visualize. Let’s put a tie wrap,
I just got some fuel. Let’s go get the fuel, guys. Dude, this is actually happening. Holy smack dude, this is like big, this is a big thing. I kinda like, wow. It’s a good thing because it
relieves a lot of pressure but at the same time, I’m just happy that this whole thing
is about to get there. We don’t know, it might not
start right now, I don’t know. Right now, at this moment,
while you’re watching this, I’m just like you, I have no idea. So, let’s see what happens guys. That’s it guys, it’s gonna get
some fuel for the first time after she’s been sunk. Rodolfo’s here guys, we’re gonna do this. You’re seeing it as it happens. Oh my goodness guys. Is this really happening? Is the sunken Mercury
Verado about to start? Let’s go get that battery and that shunt. We already have everything else hooked up. I still gotta polish this motor, I still gotta do some
other stuff but I know 99.9% of you, wanna see
this thing start so, we’re gonna get it started
before we make it look pretty ’cause we’re gonna make it look pretty. That’s another video but not this video. This is the video you’ve
been wanting to watch. The one that it goes vroom or goes boom. I have no idea what’ll happen. I’ll tell you what, if it goes boom, we’re gonna take it right
back to where we got it and we’re gonna get those
lionfish, get their house again because we know there’s a
homeless problem for lionfish. Hold on guys. Let’s see. Let’s see. Oh my goodness, dude, this is crazy. (motor buzzes)
(applauds) Come on, yes. No, no, no, no. We got power but and trim
just went up, that’s fine. (speaks in foreign language) What happened, the trim just went up. We’re reviving a dead monster. Get ready guys, this is… (speaks in foreign language) We gotta go ahead and disconnect that, we’ll figure that out. Rodolfo just disconnected
the trim but guess what, we got a trim that’s
working already, baby. (speaks in foreign language) (motor buzzes) (speaks in foreign language) The switch it messed up. The switch is messed up. It’s nothing, that’s nothing. All right, we didn’t change
the switch, obviously. Out first problem. A small problem, it doesn’t
matter, it’s just good. Everybody’s waiting for this. All right so, he’s using the shunt. (speaks in foreign language) Guys so, this is what we’re gonna use since we don’t have the
actual harness to start it, this is what we’re gonna use, the shunt. (speaks in foreign language) (engine cranks)
Yes. (engine cranks) Oh my God, this is happening. (engine cranks) Come on baby, come on. Come on, come on baby, come on. Come on baby, come on baby. We’re gonna do this. You’ve been waiting for
this, hey smash a like. Oh my God. (speaks in foreign language) (engine cranks) We don’t hear the fuel pump turning on. (speaks in foreign language) We gotta check it out,
we gotta check that out. There he goes, there it goes, there we go. We hear it now. We hear it now.
(speaks in foreign language) Oh boy. (speaks in foreign language) Guys, listen, lemme tell you,
high stress, high stress. It’s crazy. We’re tryna make sure, remember, right now,
we also have some fog. You want this to start
up so much that you start not thinking about the minor things that could be causing it not to start. Wait. Lemme know when you’re ready. (speaks in foreign language) (engine cranks) Yes, come on baby, come on. Bring it back, baby, come on. (engine cranks)
Bring it back baby. We’re not getting fuel. But it cranked. Come on. (speaks in foreign language) We got this. The emotions are high. We’re gonna put on one of the computers, he doesn’t have the main,
main computer that you need but our friends over there at South Florida Marine Center do. So, we’ll probably have
to take it over there but we’re gonna check with what he has now so, let’s see, let’s see. I’m already happy with what happened. Relax, we don’t give up. Let’s see what it says. Let’s see what it says. (speaks in foreign language) The ignition of the motor’s not opening so, that’s why it’s not starting. (speaks in foreign language) That’s why she’s not starting. This is the first time
we’ve used the shunt guys. If we had the harness
with the ignition harness, we would have just started
up but that got lost. Well actually, that got
cut off of the old boat and we haven’t purchased it because we were under the impression
that we didn’t need to. And we probably don’t need it anyways. So, let’s see, maybe we
can bypass it somehow. But I’m just so excited, dude. Oh man, I’m so excited man. Wow, what a blessing man. I’m so glad that you guys
were able to witness this. And what’s cool about this, this happens thousands and thousands of
times throughout the world, maybe not like this but other situations and other crazy stuff that have happened and people get together
and they have a common goal and they get stuff going. (speaks in foreign language) (engine cranks) (sighs) The joy of the sunken Mercury Verado. This is where I say, Mercury,
if you were here bro, we would’ve been able to call you guys but you guys don’t go boldly all the time, you go boldly sometimes. So, we will fight alone again. We’re gonna feed the
fire a little bit, dude. It’s been a long, long day. I’m gonna end the night. Think, strategize. Oh God. Oh my goodness. So essentially, in a nutshell, I get multiple opinions based on why this thing
is not starting right now. I’m going nuts, I’m driving Rodolfo nuts because I got this deadline on the 2nd but I like to keep my word. I got about eight days
and I gotta try to get, somebody says I need to get
the computer flashed so, we’ll see. It’s a stressful time people. This is the behind the scenes stuff that you don’t think about
or you don’t see or whatnot. It’s not just (mimics engine ignition). But it’s 95 degrees outside
and I’m burning a fire just so I can think and
I got a little beer here and just trying to think and strategize because I’ve been pushing people too, I’ve been pushing people really hard. Meanwhile, they’re seeing me
on vacation and all that stuff so, it doesn’t help out. You know what, we gotta
turn over more rocks, let’s see what we find in the morning. Dude, what a mission though. Dude, this thing is a mission. This little motor’s
getting the best of me. And we’ll win, we’ll win. The mission continues,
see this right here guys? See that right there? I don’t know if you can really tell but that is the old computer that
was soaked with saltwater but since we’re not getting
it started, we’re like, ’cause somebody told me, “Dude just go ahead and
put the old computer, “it’s not gonna be a
problem,” fine, watch. All right so, I was like, “All right well, “whatever, I got it.” So, we’re gonna go
through everything, see, make sure everything is perfect, why it’s not reading from
the computer to the other, why it’s not reading to the computer that we’re hooking up to
it, to see what’s going on. So, guys, I don’t want to shock
you but I have cut my hair so, don’t be surprised how
incredibly good-looking I am now so, just stay tuned. I’ll let you guys wait a little bit. (speaks in foreign language) This is gonna start it, bro. I have faith. Bro, I got faith, bro. Bro, stop looking at my hair, bro, why are you looking at my hair, bro? Stop.
(speaks in foreign language) He was singing, all of a
sudden, now, he’s like, “Hey, let me get through,
I’m tryna work here.” I’m excited about my hair. It’s kinda like a humbling
moment when you have to be in the car with your wife, you’re like “Oh babe, give me a scrunchie,”
and she looks at you like (speech muffled). Whatever, we’ll talk about
this, some other day. Let’s get this motor started. We’re gonna go through all the electrical, check out and see if there’s
something that’s not happening. But I wanna try this. Not because I think it’s gonna work, ’cause I really don’t
think it’s gonna work but, how crazy would it be if it does? That’s what I’m saying. It’ll literally blow my mind. (sings in foreign language) I think because Rodolfo’s happily singing, I think we’re gonna start this. (sings) Dude, if this, bro, this, I don’t know, there’s no way bro. There’s no way. I’d fall over, I’d fall over. I’d go crazy dude, if this thing works. Listen, I’d literally… No, that’s it, it’ll be like a, like a divine intervention
already if that thing works. Well, who knows, it could
also blow up the engine, we don’t know, I don’t know. (speaks in foreign language) Here’s your shunt tool.
(speaks in foreign language) Here’s the shunt tool, guys. So, this is what we’re
gonna use to start it. As suspected, the old computer’s
not getting power at all. We’ll see, one more thing. It woulda been a home run, people, it woulda been a home
run, that’s why we did it. I had to go back and try this out because if it did do something, it would’ve been interesting. (speaks in foreign language) (engine cranks) Plan B. Plan B is originally the plan A. Let’s do it. Let’s hook up the new one and see what we need to do to that and find out why it’s
not starting, stay on. (speaks in foreign language) Come on baby, come on. Come on. (engine cranks) Come on. (engine cranks) We’re gonna throw it on the computer and see what the computer shows up. She cranked over better
than the first time. Let’s see what the computer
says and we’ll go from there. (speaks in foreign language) So, he put it on the
computer right now and it’s, I got this computer, it says it’s a 350 but it looks like it’s
been flashed to be a 400. (speaks in foreign language) Can you imagine we’re gonna
have a 400 horsepower engine? That’ll be sick. Obviously, we won’t run it that hard. Only when we need to. Shh. (speaks in foreign language) Which is huge, guys. We weren’t getting
access into the computer so, that’s huge. Now, we’re gonna be able
to see exactly what, what it’s reading and what it’s not. Dude, if we were at a shop that, they have all the bells and
whistles and tools for this, this would’ve been a piece of cake. Whatever, like I’ve been saying, you gotta work with what you got sometimes and this is what we have right now. (speaks in foreign language) He’s thinking, he doesn’t
even wanna respond. (speaks in foreign language) Go. (engine cranks) (speaks in foreign language) No, that wasn’t why. So, the injectors are not
firing which is good news, that’s why we’re not starting. So now, we gotta figure out why the injectors are not firing. (speaks in foreign language) He’s gonna have to start
removing the injectors to see what’s going on,
why those are not firing. We had those cleaned. We took them out immediately
once we got the engine, took ’em apart and had
’em professionally cleaned and serviced but maybe it wasn’t enough. Maybe we have to do some more, I don’t know, let’s see. (injectors spraying) Shooting as well. That’s good. (speaks in foreign language) So, we’re checking all the
injectors and like I said, we’ve already had these serviced and they’re functioning, see that? So, we’re test one by one. (speaks in foreign language) (injector spraying) Shooting as well. Interesting, ’cause it
wasn’t firing before through the harness. (speaks in foreign language) (injector spraying) They’re all firing. (engine cranks) Another day. I know, it doesn’t seem like that ’cause you were just watching one video. (speaks in foreign language) I got some cables and I got this sensor, crankshaft sensor. We’re gonna put it on. (speaks in foreign language) The other two are new, this is
the only one I didn’t change. We gotta start her. So, we can applaud and (applauds). We gotta get rid of the ghost. This thing doesn’t wanna come back. Right now, Rodolfo just jumped
on the chest of the Verado and just pushed down, come on. Slap it back and Grey’s Anatomy. That’s where we’re at right now. So, the the Sandbar, those
that were at the Sandbar, thanks, you guys are cool, gave me a lot of love, I appreciate that. If you didn’t see that
video, it’s a cool video. We were vroom, vrooming it. Dude, you’re in the can again, bro? Bro, you’re in the can again, bro? This is the second time
you do this to me bro. At least smash that like
while you’re in the can. There’s always that one
guy that’s in the can. Yeah, you’re the guy in
the can, I know you… I gotta get outta here. It’s kinda weird knowing
that you’re in the can watching us work. Let’s go, bro. Could this be it, guys? Could this be the reason? It was under water for 11 days. All right so, the crankshaft
position sensor’s on. Let’s put some fuel. Let’s put some fuel in her. Let’s see. (speaks in foreign language) Let’s go, guys. (speaks in foreign language) Come on, baby, come on. (engine cranks) Not bad. Come on, baby, come on. Sounded pretty.
(engine cranks) (speaks in foreign language) (engine cranks) Come on, baby, come on. I’ll tell you right now,
we’re both frustrated as hell, we’re both demoralized, we’re both. We’re not giving up ’cause
we will never give up, we’ll never quit. But you feel spent, you feel
tired, you feel frustrated. And everything tells
you, just get that shit, throw it back into the
middle of the ocean. Listen, it’s not for lack of trying because we’re busting our ass here. I know at the end of everything, it’s gonna be something
stupid but it kinda like, we’re so depleted and so
tired and so overworked and frustrated with this,
that by the time it starts, we’re not even gonna be happy. That’s how crazy this is. The only thing that gives me
inspiration to keep on going is those emails that I’ve
gotten, the people encouraging us and people have gone out of their way to send us good vibes and good energy so, you are the reason why
we’re gonna keep on going. Rodolfo went inside to go punch a wall, give him a minute. (speaks in foreign language) Oh shit, are you okay? Twice today, people… (speaks in foreign language) Fuel just came out, exploding. That’s why you should have
some safety glasses on for that reason. If that woulda happened
to me with my contacts. First of all, I would’ve been screaming. (mimics screaming) Help me. Call the fire, actually, I’m
not a fireman guys, that’s, a lot of my friends and
neighbors are firemens and I go to the tournaments
and stuff so, stop asking. Relax, I got Rodolfo here, he’s right there at the eyewash station. He’s fine. And we begin another day. Bam, bam, bam, bam. These are the coils guys. So, we’re swapping out the coils. At first, you always wanna try to see what you can do without
spending the most money. But since she was under for 11 days, she’s asking for new
coils, she’s like, “Dude, “I at least deserve a couple new coils.” Remember, these two
were already swapped out which were originally up top but when we dragged the motor
out, we didn’t drag it out but it kinda got a little damaged. So, we ran the computer also. This thing is fried. And this might not be functioning perfect. But whatever, we’re gonna
see what happens now. We got the coils back on,
let’s see what happens. If she wants to start, she’ll start, if she wants to make a scene,
then she’ll make a scene. It is what it is. She’s got a whole new set of coils so, she can’t complain now. In this circumstance, 11 days later, plan on getting all electrical new. I got some parts also that are
used like these sensors now. I’m just gonna go ahead and swap it out. Might as well, everything else is done. (cranking) Should be interesting now
when we try to fire it up. All right, you see here,
where it says clean power. Here and with this shunt tool, that’s how we’re starting the engine. It’ll allow you to get the
ignition going and then, now we’re gonna try to
start this up again, let’s see what happens
now with these new coils. We know we have other issues so, it is what it is, bro. Just sit back, relax
and watch us struggle. Because you know what, we
don’t got no help from Mercury, where you at Mercury? Oh what, you’re gonna
wait for us to start it? Making a scene guy. Don’t call me, don’t
call me when I start it, don’t call me, don’t even look, I don’t even wanna look at you. Come on bro, please, come on bro. (engine cranks) This bastard is doing this again to us. So, computer told me,
these things are bad. If this thing doesn’t start with this, you, me and everybody are gonna
get on La Bestia right now, we’re gonna go ahead and get the engine, we’re not even gonna dangle it, we’re just gonna put it
on the top of the bow of my inflatable and I’m gonna
find a spot, I’m actually, you know what, there’s a reef over here in Key Biscayne I’m gonna go
ahead and position it perfectly on one of these big old ships
that sunk because I’m done. All right guys, they’re going in. This is what they call a boost valve and this is your throttle body. We swapped all these coils out. I’m trying for my wife not to find out that I’m spending our
family’s money on this Verado and then when I told friends and family that I was gonna give it away to charity, they’re like, “Dude, you’re stupid. “You’re absolutely stupid.” And I get it, I really do. Like I said, I think in the long-run, that’s the best way to
get this and do this. It really wasn’t my engine,
I didn’t work for it. You know what I’m saying? I don’t know, I just see
things a little differently. I’m attached to it but it’s
gonna go to charity guys. So, we’re gonna remove this,
which is the throttle body and we’re gonna remove this. It’s a used part guys,
it’s not brand new so, don’t expect much. I’m literally running out of time, we’re running against the
clock, I told you guys, today, August 2nd, that we were
gonna get this thing started and by the way, today, August
2nd, is, guess whose birthday. Yes, my birthday so, this
will be my gift for the day to get this motor started so, I don’t know, we’ll see. We’re working it, we’re doing what we can. And there it is, it’s back on. Now, we’ll tighten it up,
we’ll swap out this boost valve right here, which we also
got used and I think, I don’t know gentlemen, I think with that, we’re swapping out a couple
sensors as well that we got. I think we might have the engine, dude, if it doesn’t start
after all these stuff, I don’t even know. I’m even questioning if I
should continue with this. These two parts used. Fortunately, there’s a
couple dead motors out there that people needed a story and either, they weren’t sunken motors, they were motors that just blew up. So, I got some pretty
decent parts for cheap. I’m sure if I woulda bought it all new, it would have been crazy. But a lot of the sensors are new. The harness is new, the
wire harness in new. I think if you’re gonna
do something like this, you’re gonna have to expect,
if it’s 11, 12 days or more, you’re gonna have to
change everything that has anything electrical. Anything electrical you’re gonna have to, if it’s something that
just dips in the water, you get it out real
quick and all that stuff, dude, you pickle it kinda like what we did and you you fire it up and
just run it as much as you can. The moisture will come out
and before you know it, it’s like it never even happened. You’ll know what happened. Let’s go. ♪ Another time, another place ♪ (speaks in foreign language) (engine cranks) Well, it’s not for lack of trying guys. I wanted to have this started for the 2nd but it didn’t materialize like that today. We ran out of time. So, stay tuned. I hate to say this but you’re gonna have
to watch another video. You guys probably think
I’m doing this on purpose. Trust me, I’m crying inside. Today’s my damn birthday bro. It is what it is. I did it on this day because I was like, oh well, I have enough time

  1. You should be very proud of what you have accomplished. Outstanding job and it was amazing to watch how focused you have been on completing your task at hand. Refreshing to observe a man with a passion and going for it. Fair winds and following seas. I offer a 🥂🥂🥂🥂 to you. Outstanding job!!!

  2. So glad to see you got it going I know how you feel its like building a race engine and starting it for the first time congratulations and a great job !!

  3. It was great to see you fix this engine up. Been following this since the motor ended up in the drink. What a crazy story! I was kind of hoping I'd get to see the newly rebuilt engine run-up to full throttle on a boat of yours before you gave it away to charity.

  4. My birthday is aug 5th, not the same but its means your a badass leo. Bro i bought a bought that had a mercury efi that had so many issues but i got it running and now i want to send videos to the guy showing him that it runs and and have him feel like shit, cause he knew the boat ran like garbage, watching your video made me know i could rebuild the whole fuel and oil injection system.

  5. Just a great story from start to current day. The fact you were there filming when it came off is just proof this was always destined for your path Alf. Love ya work mate 👊🏽

  6. A big congratulations to Alfred and all people that stood behind him to make this dream come true. Wow what a adventure the dive team that went deep to bring the Verrado off the ocean floor Rodolfo and all the hours he spent rebuilding the motor the people that donated parts and knowledge in helping this all come together also the viewers for standing behind Alfred and cheering him on. A very big shout-out to Scirocco Marine and Black Betty. And to all the haters out there my boy Alfred did it hahaha LOL

  7. Awesome video and awesome story with your determination and will to prove to people anything is possible you got it done and proved all the haters wrong!!!

    She was making a scene!!!

  8. Why hate.
    Developmental boat
    Extreme forces
    Rigging error thats completely understandable.
Identified error and corrected, probably saved a future owner from more severe damage or injury in a similar or worst situation?
I would have dumped the motor and done the exact same thing as you guys did..child on board, guest etc, manufacturer did everything perfectly while on cam, calm cool english man? Cheers.
I respect their forthrightness and honesty to show the viewers what happened…shit happens….ripped a few bottom ends out and hit a few logs at speed over the years…..you learn to keep spare parts and beef up a spot not thot of as vulnerable….mods is where its at.

This was a learning process for me and appreciated..
Been following the whole chain of vids on this…
Im planning on getting shockwave seats n mounts this winter…awesome.
I run a new kingfisher 25 ft aluminum plate boat..
    Its a salmon fishing boat.
It spends most of its time pounding 4-6 ft swells at 40 mph on the great lakes going to n from here in ontario canada.
Ill be checking all of my motor bolts and be adding two more for a total of 6 based on what you’ve shown me.
I checked , i have four from dealer. I consider my duty severe so will upgrade based on your comments.
This could have happened to me just as easily….i run a big suzuki 250. Its 30k canadian……dont want to make that insurance claim call.

    Thanks so much
    Dw

  9. Te sigo desde España, viendo como transformas las RIBS también tengo un verado 275 y gracias a tu video solucione varios de mis problemas. Ha sido un placer esperaba este video como la Navidad jajajajs. Felicidades and enjoy your presents.

  10. Wow black Betty can shift. Alfred you are the coolest person on YouTube by far I love your channel. Please please keep up your amazing video's #Never give up!!

  11. After watching all the videos. You all did Ann amazing job. And there is nothing like hearing an engine that was dead, firing for the first time. I equal it to giving birth.
I would really like to meet you and talk about all that went into the rebuilding of the engine. Again, a fantastic job to you and your group of people that helped.

  12. I still don't understand the thought process one makes to cut loose a $25k motor. He could have called Seatow at the very least or simply tied a rope to it out of the way and idled back the half mile to shore. Pisses me off how much money means to that guy. I guess that only a rich person would understand.

  13. Congrats brotha amazing experience. Yes that’s a life story that’s going to be passed through you family’s generations.

  14. Congrats bro. You busted your ass but it paid off. Your series of videos should be shown to the younger crowd so they can see that you put in the work and not give up, it will pay off.

  15. Alfred, you should do a short, few minute video of the whole saga, from losing the motor, you going to Sirocco Marine to see Black Betty, diving to get it, fixing it, and starting it. Short enough to share on social media. See you at the sandbar!

  16. Happy Birthday, purging the fuel rail is a good idea, it worked, I try to avoid dunked outboards, yes it is a cando but a lot of work, this outboard is one if the few worth the work.
