Tito Ortiz, MMA Legend Retires – Learn English with Slow News

Tito Ortiz has been a major figure in the
Mixed Martial Arts world for 20 years. The Huntington Beach, California native is
one of the best known names in the sport. He carried the, now very popular, Ultimate
Fighting Championship (UFC) on his back in the days when the sport was struggling. His battles with Ken Shamrock resulted in
some of the highest Pay Per Views ever. Later, he moved to Bellator and had memorable
wins to strengthen his legacy. Always up for a good fight and willing to
fight against injustice, he serves as a role model for athletes in any sport. Further, his willingness to overcome injuries
that threatened his career is a testament to his strength of mind, body and heart. His last fight with Chael Sonnen at the Forum
in Inglewood, California, was his opportunity to give his fans one last round before hanging
up his gloves. He defeated Sonnen in the first round with
a rear naked choke and looked as dominant going out as when he came in. Some warriors would rather be carried off
on their shields than to run from a battle. Tito Ortiz is able to ride off into the sunset
with his head held high. Good job mate! Good Job!
