WWE Star RETURNING Soon?! BIG MMA Storyline Plans In WWE! | WrestleTalk News Aug. 2017

Hello and welcome to the WrestleTalk News
– I’m Oli Davis. Roman Reigns Beats The Count
When you’ve been putting out a newsletter almost every week since 1980, with each issue
consisting of around 25,000 words, it’s only natural for there to be a few spelling
mistakes. It’s even more natural when you add a huge
dose of Freudian slip. When describing Raw’s main event in this
week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer might’ve just revealed his true
feelings on Roman Reigns: “The match lost something because it was
start, move, near ten count, then move. The ten counts were too frequent so they meant
less. Reigns pulled out a table and gave Strowman
a Samoan drop through the table but Strowman beat the c***.” Baron Corbin Vs Dave Meltzer
Baron Corbin got off comparatively lightly, with Meltzer recently saying The Lone Wolf
was an example of WWE’s “fetish with tall guys” – a criticism that Corbin didn’t
take too well. “What matches and promos has Dave meltzer
done. Ohh none! He is a old man who could never do what anyone
on the roster can or could.” “you can’t comment on the actors ability
unless you have done it before or at least tried.” Big Dave’s reply? “Think before tweeting. By that logic, your boss had no right to judge
anyone in wrestling until 1998.” Baron Corbin…You’ve just been Dave’d. MMA Four Horsewomen In WWE
Fightful broke earlier this week that UFC star Ronda Rousey is interested in a WWE run,
and has even started training with current Cruiserweight wrestler Brian Kendrick. Ronda is one of MMA’s Four Horsewoman – a
group of female fighters who were once on top of the MMA world, but who’ve since found
themselves on losing streaks. Ronda, Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke were
at WWE’s Mae Young Classic taping last month, cheering on their other Four Horsewoman member,
Shayna Baszler’s WWE debut. After the match, a staredown happened between
the MMA faction, and the WWE version – Charlotte, Becky Lynch and Bayley. Sasha Banks was in Australia doing promotional
work. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter now reports
that WWE are “very high on the Horsewoman vs. Horsewoman idea” with the next angle
possibly happening at the 12th September Mae Young Classic finals in Las Vegas, potentially
building to a big pay-per-view match. With Duke also said to be training with Kendrick
and Rousey teasing a big announcement soon, a WWE match between the two factions is certainly
possible – although the exact timing will depend on Bayley’s recent shoulder injury. Darren Young Cleared To Return
Some good news for a change on WWE’s injury front, though – in a week that’s seen both
Bayley and The Revival’s Scott Dawson put on the shelf: Darren Young has been medically
cleared to return to the ring. After undergoing elbow surgery in February,
Pro Wrestling Sheet report Young will continue to appear on the Raw brand, although there’s
no word yet on when he’ll return to TV. Which big WWE return has been scrapped? And has the Summerslam main event winner been
revealed? Click the videos to the left to find out more,
